Miss March Audience Reviews

Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Bumpy Chip It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Film Watchin Fool Watch this if...a second rate comedy and cast that gets off task due to poor directing and a questionably structured script sounds worthwhile. Acting/Casting: 4* - Cregger and Moore are second rate actors playing in a second rate comedy. Craig Robinson helps the film marginally, but his character has awful material to work with. This is likely one of Robinson's worst roles in a movie.Directing/Cinematography/Technical: 4* - After around 30 minutes or so, the film goes haywire and begins to have very little structure. The plot gets lost and then picked back up in the last few minutes of the film. I feel like there is 30-45 minutes of the movie that have no relevance to the plot at all.Plot/Characters: 4* - Again, the premise is descent, but it gets lost while the movie and the story takes on new life with no relevance to the main theme. Too bad the new life it takes on isn't anything but sub-par comedy material.Entertainment Value: 5* - It is slightly entertaining, but that is overshadowed by the fact that the movie has no structure and second rate acting/directing. I likely will not watch again in the future. My Score: 4+4+4+5 = 17/4 = 4.25Email your thoughts to filmwatchinfool@gmail.com
Robert W. Miss March can be placed in the same category as 'She's Out of My League' and yet the aforementioned film makes Miss March look like absolute garbage which it isn't entirely but it doesn't even come close to being anything worthy of a good crude comedy. I admit I don't like crude humour, potty humour and the likes. I think the use of feces, urine and bodily functions in film are just plain stupid and never funny. Miss March might as well feature feces every ten seconds because the comedy is that stupid. It also helps in a film like this if there is some heart...no matter how mild it is...a cute romance, or a likable main character but once again Miss March falls flat. The best character in Miss March is probably Hugh Hefner playing himself because Hef is just always cool. Unlike other "Playboy" comedies like The House Bunny this one just has no one who is actually likable. In fact I think the two main characters are perhaps the most annoying unlikable and shallow characters in the entire film. The comedy is tired and overused and to call this formulaic and predictable is a complete understatement. This film doesn't even try and stand out in the sea of garbage crud movies. Someone should slap National Lampoon's before this.Zach Cregger is supposed to be sweet, naive, innocent, and in many ways he does come across that way. Unfortunately he sticks out in this story as a ridiculous unlovable loser and you care very little whether or not he finds his old girlfriend. Even worse is the ridiculous over the top antics of Jim Carey look alike Trevor Moore. His over the top 'buddy' role is downright absurd and he just has no likable qualities. The sidekick or buddy role should redeem himself in the end in some way...think Stifler from American Pie series, but Moore's Tucker stays an idiot right through the final moments. Raquel Alessi is Miss March herself, the old high school girlfriend of Cregger's Eugene. Her role is minor and has no purpose other than the object of his affections. She gets no development at all in the story. Molly Stanton is almost fun as the deranged and angry girlfriend of Moore's Tucker. She has some of the more funny moments in the film even if it is at the expense of the 'she has epilepsy' gag. Craig Robinson is ridiculous but sometimes admittedly funny as horsedick.MPEG (yes that's his name) a rapper who hits it big while Eugene is in his coma. This is how Miss March gets made. A bunch of young stupid stoners (in this case none other than our two poor stars Zach Cregger, and Trevor Moore) who watch stupid comedies like Harold and Kumar, National Lampoons anything, etc. and they laugh like Beavis and Butthead over poop jokes and then they get money to make a movie and you have this crap. The story is not a complete waste, there is some merit to the story, the cameos are kind of cool and with any comedy there will be a couple of guilty laughs whether you want to or not. (The groupie bouncing out the window of the bus was just about laugh out loud.) However unless you fit the same group as Cregger and Moore in which case you probably wouldn't be reading this...this comedy is about as stupid and wasteful as possible. Skip this one and find something with more heart like She's Out of My League, The House Bunny or even Van Wilder going back a few years. Sex comedies can be funny as long as they have talent backing them. 5/10
Chris Sherriff I think that this movie is a perfect example of the weaknesses of IMDb. You get too many people of the wrong mindset reviewing this movie. Being a huge fan of Youtube's "The Whitest Kids U' Know", I found the humour in this movie spot on. It is MEANT to be completely over the top (with some real cringy bits). Its just what they do, and to be honest, not many could do it better.Yes, this film may not deserve a reputation for anything other than just another Teen movie, but in my books its darn good, and more than anything else, it made me feel a lot happier inside. Is that a bad thing?Basically, if you are someone who is going to watch this movie without being able to handle sick, crude jokes, then why review it? it isn't for you. That's quite simple. So in the words of Tucker himself, I would rate this film "A perfect seven".
Scarecrow-88 One of those absurd midnight sex comedies featuring a special experience from Hef. Eugene(Zach Cregger), bless his heart, is having a hard time of it. He gets a little too drunk at an after-prom party, falls down a flight of steps, gets not only clunked over the head with a metal tool box but a giant wooden shelf falls on him. He awakens from a four year coma, aching from a shot to the face by his best friend, Tucker(Trevor Moore), using a wooden bat(ouch). Eugene discovers that his high school sweetheart, Cindi(Raquel Alessi)is Playboy bunny, Miss March, and Tucker thinks it's a good idea to drive cross country to Hef's Los Angeles' Playboy Mansion to confront her. Tucker goes on the lam after stabbing his current girlfriend, Candace(Molly Stanton)in the face several times with a fork because she had "clamped down" while giving him oral pleasure, caused by an epileptic reaction to a strobe light. Eugene, not yet officially well, due to atrophy and a difficult bowel problem, is literally kidnapped by Tucker who wheelchairs him from his hospital. These two hope an old friend of Tucker's, a rapper named Horsedick.MPEG(Craig Robinson, stealing his scenes as usual)can get them into the mansion, but a riff causes this plan to fall apart(Horsedick claims he "banged" Cindi). Thanks to two lesbians(who need them to drive their car so they can use the back seat to engage in constant sex), they may just make it to LA. This zany cross country comedy has Candace's fireman brother and his fellow co-workers following after Tucker. Tucker hasn't a clue how to approach women of any kind and his attempts at scoring with a bunny at Hef's mansion fail miserably. MISS MARCH has that moment where Tucker is able to meet his idol, Hef himself, and their conversation goes a bit awry(due to Tucker's own inability to control his tongue when responding, in repulsion, to a photograph presented to him by Hef regarding a girl he once knew from teenagehood). Eugene's bowel problems are played for constant laughs. Eugene is the classic Griswaldian victim who seems to have everything going wrong in his life, achieving final joy only at the end after a multitude of misery. As you might've guessed it, there's plenty of eye candy, but we never see Cindi herself nude despite the fact the whole film revolves around her posing for Playboy. The whole "lesbians" angle is played to the hilt, and the scene where one of them opens a lock with her tongue has to be seen to be believed. Trevor Moore's expressive face and enthusiasm may earn more laughs than the dialogue he has to speak, but that speaks volumes to me. Eugene's tragic circumstances, any other time his nonstop trauma would not be as funny, are played for both sympathy and giggles in equal measure..and his reluctance towards having sex is also used for laughs.
