Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
BeSummers Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
shrikarmutalik This movie was surprisingly good, It has great animation, and it tells an interesting, engaging story about the creators of curious George. If you want to learn about the surprisingly interesting story about the creators of your favorite childhood book and the hardships they had to face along the way, give this movie a try. I Recommend to everyone of all ages!
MartinHafer While the story of Hans and Margaret Reyersbach and their creation, Curious George, is an interesting story, the best reason to watch this film is because it was made so incredibly well. This stylish documentary really impressed me--with lovely drawings done in Hans' style, great camera work, wonderful interviews as well as archival footage and the Reyersbach's original work all work together to present a never dull story. What I also appreciate is that it was, at times, no holds barred...meaning that while it celebrates their work, it also is truthful enough to acknowledge that Margaret was, in some ways, an awful person! Warts and all...a sign of an objective study of the individuals. Well worth seeing.
darrickmosser This movie tells the story of the Reys and their creation of Curious George. It open my eyes to the how and why the Reys created this series of stories. It also connects to the modern day by taking about living your passion and showing the human side of these two people. The movie uses all types of media with photos, original interviews, animation and modern interviews of people that new the Reys. It combines these media to help tell the story and it also makes the story work for young and old. It connects with the book series in a truly perfect way. I would highly recommend this to people that want to learn more about the creators of Curious George or for people that would like to have an inspiring tale to help with your own life.
maizenblue-67519 We all are fans of Curious George. This documentary tells us how he came about. It's an important documentary and fun to watch because it combines archival footage with current animation, in tribute to Hans Rey. All of us who grew up with Curious George and read it as well to our children and grandchildren, are given the opportunity to get to know Margaret and H.A. Reys; their personal history, happy and traumatic. We get the privilege to know them as people. This documentary made me love the character of Curious George even more, knowing how he came to be. I also learned about the bravery and perseverance of the Reys.
