Not Another Not Another Movie Audience Reviews

NipPierce Wow, this is a REALLY bad movie!
SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Michael Ledo Randy (David Leo Schultz) is a production assistant who is also narcoleptic. When he passes out he dreams about bad movie spoofs. The film company he works for creates "B" grade movie rip offs and is going broke. They decide to make a spoof movie, something that Randy hates. Ellie Gerber shines as Wendy, the adorable girl next door.I admit I had several LOL moments. For instance in one scene, Chevy Chase asks, "What makes a great movie?" Jennifer Sciole replies, "Paris Hilton." There were however more scenes that didn't work than those that did. Many of the spoofs were simply not funny. No sex, no nudity, I don't recall any f-bombs. Some minor sex talk, but this is not a sex comedy. Burt Reynolds and Michael Madsen are in limited roles.
knawdas First things first - despite the title, this *isn't* a spoof movie in the realm of Friedberg/Seltzer, etcetera. It's actually a quite funny mockumentary about a struggling movie company who turns to spoof movies when all of their other ideas haven't worked... which, to be honest, is a pretty accurate depiction of Hollywood today.Even then, the spoof movie plot is relatively subdued, taking a backseat to the hilarious antics and romantic failures of Randy, a movie crew nobody who manages to rise higher and higher through the ranks as the company falls to pieces, eventually becoming a director totally devoid of experience or basic intelligence. This is absolutely a 'love him or hate him' sort of character, but he never fails to deliver the laughs. While the film isn't quite as celebrity packed as the artwork would have you believe - Burt Reynolds appears in exactly one scene - Chevy Chase and especially Michael Madsen put in memorable roles, Madsen being perfectly cast as a murderous convict who temporarily heads the studio. Another surprising highlight in the cast was Ellie Gerber, likely cast due to her uncanny resemblance to Scary Movie's Anna Faris, but nonetheless charming and likable.Overall, it's a shame this film didn't gain more exposure, with much of the intended audience wrongly assuming it was going to be another in the long line of terrible spoof movies. Give it a chance, and go into it without any preconceived notions - I expected the worst and came out very pleasantly surprised.
kevc-aberdeen There is no redeemable features in this movie, none. Avoid it like the plague. Why any of the great actors would even think about making this movie, with exception of the possibility of a pay check, I genuinely have no idea. The fact I am reviewing this is probably giving it too much credit.I did not want to even rate it 1 star. DO NOT WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Lastly, I hope each of the respectable actors got actual money, and not a percentage. The one thing I can say that it is positive, is the movie is about making crap movies, it is basically a movie about making bad movies, that is a bad movie.
Chris Braden I watched this film, in hope that it would be funny. 5 minutes in I realized that the movie was just going to be the same through out. I didn't watch it till the end for obvious reasons, i skipped parts for that I have to say I'm relieved. 90 minutes of so-called acting, sitting in a board room trying to come up with ideas for a film? You'd think the real script writers done the exact same, and they came up with this? hopeless! I know it was a low budget film but they just wasted that $4,000,000 on complete awful material, the story line was abysmal, the jokes were cheap and I want to know how they got big named actors to agree to act in it. I'm sorry it's just my opinion but it is based on fact. All I can say to the initial writers is quit your day job, it's clearly not working and if it was? well i doubt it's going to last long, your reputation is on a steep slope. Read another review by 'andrew (andrew@hollywood7.com)' and I agree, a rating of 0 out of 10 would be more suited to this appalling 'film'. This should of been categorized as Documentary / 'comedy'.
