Ocean's Twelve Audience Reviews

Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
MichaelMRamey Ocean's Twelve is the weakest film in the Oceans trilogy. However, despite the move to Europe, this film has most of the ingredients the first one had, making it still an entertaining viewing. It just didn't feel right when watching it, but does become a key part of the continuous storyline that plays throughout the three films; making it a must watch for fans of the first. I have to mention the Julia Roberts/Julia Roberts scene was just bad. It probably seemed like a good idea at the time, but the fourth wall break was unnecessary for a quick laugh that really just throws the film momentarily off par.
HotToastyRag It's tough to tell whether Ocean's Twelve is a sequel to Ocean's Eleven or a remake. It's so incredibly similar to the first film-which is itself a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack film-that after you've seen both of them, you'll find yourself getting scenes confused with each other. The memorable and expensive cast returns-George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Carl Reiner, Elliot Gould, Andy Garcia, and Julia Roberts-and are joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Eddie Izzard, Robbie Coltrane, and Jared Harris. Once again, they're all involved in a heist that's complicated beyond belief and fraught with plans going awry, but this time, the expensive cast are all flown abroad, enjoying scenes in Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Monaco. If you liked the first one-the remake, not the original-you'll like the sequel. I did not, so I didn't care for the sequel either. Just as the original is a two-hour spectacle of "Look how cool me and my friends are", the remakes of the Ocean films have the same feel to them. Everyone in the audience knows the actors who take the top billings are friends in real life, and while they have their little smirks and giggles over inside jokes, unfinished sentences, and awkward pauses, the audience either feels "cool" to be a part of it or wishes they'd just had a get-together without filming it.
nicoveltri The soundtrack and foreign settings are grandiose enough to be eye- catching, but the most profound element for me here is the layers of satire and puns that take a few watches to catch fully. What could be more tongue-in-cheek than Julia Roberts portraying Julia Roberts? The reason why I think many were put off by this movie, is the very reason I find it so enamoring; the dialogue and plot points in the film give off an excessive feeling of premeditation, but this allows it to reach greater heights than films that attempt to impose as organic or biographical.
Cheesus Toast It is probably not so difficult to describe how bad this film really is. It is basically a load of very well paid actors just lounging about doing nothing much. I believe there probably was a script in there somewhere but it is fading from my memory already (I watched the film a few minutes ago - or did I? What was that film I just watched? Never mind, I seem to have forgotten). After watching this I am beginning to wonder if they did actually write a script at all. It almost seems like it was all just ad- libbed. This is how the film goes: It seems that someone at some point planned something and everyone just knew what to do. "OK then, lets go and do some stuff in the most lethargic way possible and everything will be OK. At the end we can all sit around getting drunk and try to work out what just happened for the last few days... and work out if we actually care about it or not. I guess not - let's just get drunk anyway and pat each other on the back for some reason."Yes, it is that bad!
