Pink Sphinx Audience Reviews

Lawbolisted Powerful
Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
OllieSuave-007 The Pink Panther surely didn't get his money's worth when he purchased a puny camel for his Egyptian treasure hunt. All the animal could do was resist helping the panther carry his luggage and act like a overly cute, but dumb dog. There are a couple of scenes that warrant a chuckle here and there, particular the parts where the Pink Panther gets frustrated with the misadventures headed his way. But, not a very exciting cartoon - just too concentrated on a useless camel and a treasure hunt that went particularly sour.Grade D
ccthemovieman-1 The was a fun story and one in which you could have made a much longer Pink Panther cartoon out if it, judging by how much fun the writers obviously had in doing this. You get an Indiana Jones adventure story, a slapstick comedy and a cute little camel for some human interest. There is a lot to like in this animated short which was good from start-to- finish. I hated to see it end. That ending was kind of goofy and little abrupt. That's another reason they should have expanded on this and made it a short featurette."Honest Abdul's Camel Lot" is where the Pink Panther strolls into, looking at "new and used" camels. He's in Egypt and needs some transportation. His goal is to find a treasure and he has a map. After some funny scenes at the Camel lot (pun intended), we have the PP's adventures of trying to get the treasure and his poor little camel (the only one he could afford) inadvertently making things more difficult.Overall: very enjoyable.
Robert Reynolds This is a marginal short partially salvaged by an interesting ending. There will be mild spoilers in the portion which follows: The Pink Pather is looking for artifacts and/or jewels in Egypt. He goes to buy a camel, but has little money and has to settle for a small camel that behaves as if it were a dog. The old saying truly holds here-he got what he paid for, which wasn't much. In spots, it reminds me all too much of the horse in Pinto Pink and other shorts The little camel causes the Pink Panther no end of trouble and gets chased away more than once here. There are a couple of interesting gags involving water in one way or another, with the strange sight of a camel guzzling a canteen being the most unusual. The Pink Panther has a few experiences with explosives here and finally manages to get into a crypt-one with a warning of a curse on anyone who enters. He grabs a large gem and begins running, only to periodically change into things-a rat, a lizard, etc.Not the greatest short, but it's only six minutes long and it does have a few moments which make it worth watching. It's on the Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection, which is well worth getting.
rbverhoef The pink panther is in Egypt. He wants a camel but has not enough money for a good one so he ends up with one that acts like a dog. He has a map that says where a treasure is hidden and together with his strange camel he enters the desert. This short was funny enough to be entertained for a couple of minutes. Especially the camel acting like a dog gets some good laughs.
