Rocket Compulsion Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
getonit I watched this documentary with some trepidation, thinking that it would be some rich boy building and playing with his new toy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much work and personal expense David must have gone to to realise his goal.I quickly learnt that it wasn't just a matter of strapping a couple of fireworks on your back and hoping for the best but it was, in fact, an incredible feat of engineering even to get this thing off of the ground. I also watched with interest the massive odds that they were up against along the way to ensure the success of the project.I would recommend this documentary to anybody who has a keen interest in amateur flight and appreciates clever engineering. Some parts may be a little bit of people patting themselves on the back but on the whole, the documentary is well made and well worth watching.
Jim Mason He did against all odds. He may be a little nuts but hey why not! A device that lasts a little longer than 20 seconds would be good. It's the first time I've seen the technology explained this clearly. I think it would have been easier if they showed other similar tech that is being developed at the same time - eg turbine powered. And the other question is whether they plan to do something else in the future or is this the end of the story? Generally well shotSeemed to have attention to detail.I'm not sure when it's coming to the US?I would love to see something that flies for 20 mins!
pharvell David Mayman is an inspiration to young boys of my years that have Dreamt of rocket belts and the famous James bond movie, today the kids have dreams that go way beyond, but in the 70's we all dreamed like David, about flying a rocket belt. I found the history about rocket belt fascinating and would have like to see more, more footage of the old school rocket men, I know it must be hard to find but it look like you had the original guys on the doc so they must have access to some of the old stuff. I also what to know more about the man and what make him tick not enough human stuff, also how does the story end what is he doing now? and what about other rocket men. A good Australian story need more like this that shows the true adventure spirit of Australians.
