ChanBot i must have seen a different film!!
GazerRise Fantastic!
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
curiousmolar Since I watched it online I have the luxury to skip the part which I find boring. I don't remember which part I skip but mostly unnecessary song or swimming shots etc. I like this movie because it try to bring two world together for us to take a peek at.It's like story is being discovered rather than being written. It is quite unique movie. And I totally understand why it gets less than 4 star.If I would have watched in theater then I would have given it less than 5 star myself because I really hate made to watch the parts, which I would like to skip in the first place. Well this movie is Flop on Box office. Anyway.I think this is a very calm and soothing movie in my opinion.
Spectacula This is an amorous glamorous movie starring Arjun Rampal (Kabir), Ranbir Kapoor (Roy), Mandana Karimi (Pia), Shibani Dandekar (Zoya) and Jacqueline Fernandez in dual role as Ayesha/Tia. Cyrus Broacha, Rajit Kapoor (Detective Wadia), Anupam Kher, Barun Chanda and Shernaz Patel (Meera) play supporting roles. Background score and the songs are catchy. Dialogues are well-written. Cinematography is resplendent. Screenplay could have been better. Acting is commendable. Overall there's a sedative effect. See it to the end to form an opinion about this film. The thing is: Arjun Rampal portrays the writer-director Vikramjit Singh himself. Arjun is Vikam's projection on screen while Roy is Kabir's projection on reel. This is the crux.I don't get it why this film has such low IMDb rating. It should be above 7. As a bollywood flick, this flick is far better than many other flicks. Pair this movie with Inkaar (2013) to gain a better experience.
austroasiatic Review in a nutshell - Fight club had a one night stand with Kartik calling Kartik and ROY is the ugly b@stard child that nobody wants to adopt.Jacqueline is heart broken over the fact that Arjun (playing a famous director) used their one night fling in Malaysia as inspiration for the female lead (Tia) in his movie????? Ranbir is a figment of Arjun's imagination (totally ripped a page off fight club (sans fighting) - Ed Norton and Brad Pitt). This is the best part - the real world scenario played by Arjun and Jacko is so far fetched from REALITY, it's pathetic! If you think i'm being harsh, ask yourself - WHY would anyone male/female be heartbroken after finding out they're the inspiration behind the movie character?(let alone BREAK UP with a famous Director after finding out).. ugh... i'm not buying this cr@p! WHoever enjoyed this movie needs to see their therapist IMMEDIATELY or enter a drug rehab program! ciao!
nikhil-bhanu Roy is a movie which talks about the working of a creative mind. writer and director kabir grewal played by Arjun ram pal writes a script for his movie guns part 3 while shooting his film. the movie is moving at the right pace and was not at all boring. Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal are complemented well by Jacqueline Fernandez, the movie is very different from mainstream Bollywood and in future is probably going to be a milestone in Bollywood. the film gives you stints of what you would expect from someone like a David Fincher. I feel that Vikramjit malik should have probably not added those item numbers just to add the Bollywood touch and should have gone all out with his different approach in making films. Nevertheless brilliant movie!. 10/10
