Shame Audience Reviews

Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Averlienb I hated this movie the first time I saw it. I found it disturbing and pointless. But after seeing Fassbender's other projects, like Frank and Prometheus, I felt like I had to revisit this movie again. And, oh boy, did I find another layer of this movie. Look at it from the perspective of a struggle from an addict, and you'd appreciate this movie a lot. Can you see his frustration? His struggle? The conflicts inside him? It's amazing how an actor (a goofy one, actually) can bring all of these through an acting. And it's amazing that he cared enough to create a movie about sex addiction to make people aware of this.
Eric Northrup Steve McQueen's "Shame" is quite simply one of the most expertly crafted, technically flawless movies ever. There are few movies that can be given what I would say is a 10, and nowadays due to the rise of the internet they're given around like it's nothing. But this movie is unabashedly intentional in everything it does. Every shot, every line, everything has meaning put into it. It is quite easily one of the most interesting character studies ever put to film with a perfectionist performance by Michael Fassbender. Besides everything that this movie does amazing, I feel biased. This movie spoke to me personally, on every single flaw I identified in myself that I shared with the protagonist. Not just the addiction to lust and his refusal to commit, but also his subtle actions. This is a movie about addiction. Addiction to lust, refusal of commitment no matter at what cost. This film spoke to me on a level which no other film has. Its raw, unforgiving, and brutal portrayal of what it does to people is something I saw reflected in myself. The feelings I feel- he feels- those of shame- that supplement the addictions itself speak to a level that is as true as it could possibly be. There's quite simply so much to be said that not much more can be said. This film, only Steve McQueen's second, cements him as a masterful filmmaker and one of the best working today. This is a film you must see, and one that will likely stay with me forever.
rollingtapespictures This is Steve McQueen's best work in my personal view. This is a dark stylish film, using superb visual storytelling. The acting and lush cinematography drive this heartbreaking film for me. Highly recommend this film and defiantly would class it as one of the best films made in a long time.
Sameir Ali Brandon is a sexually active young man. He is addicted to the porn films and magazines. He is not able to maintain a relationship. His sister makes a surprise move in to stay with him. Things change when his pervert colleague dates her.A very beautiful erotic drama. A carefully made movie. Visuals are so beautiful. Experimental techniques in editing, especially the beginning and the end. Actors also did a terrific performance.A movie worth watch. Try it.#KiduMovie
