Singularity Audience Reviews

More Review
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Kirandeep Yoder The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
patrickslusher-60547 I don't understand all the negative reviews on here...I'm going to be a lot more charitable. Because it's obvious that the kids from the high school film class that somehow scored a hundred thousand dollar budget (and spent 98,000 of that on John Cusack) to do this class project have got enormous potential.
prabhunster Netflix suggested this movie based on my love for the Post-Apocalyptic setting. If you can go into this movie with the knowledge that you won't be getting the likes of Mad Max, Book Of Eli, Terminator, etc, then you might enjoy it for its (unintended) comedic value. If you want something serious, stop reading now.Initially, I had no idea what to expect with this movie. On one hand, the movie had pretty good production value, a seemingly serious tone, and John Cusack! However, the OTHER hand soon appears; It consists of wooden acting, glaring details totally incongruent with a supposed P-A world, and a nice spoon-fed plot narration by the bad guys... in case you're having trouble following along.I quickly realized that the intended demographic for this movie is the "Twilight" generation. The movie takes itself very seriously but is willing to sacrifice realistic aspects for the aesthetics of keeping the main characters attractive at all times... in a post-apocalyptic world. Example: the main male lead has frosted tips in his hair, which no one ever makes a joke or mention of. Basically, if you can laugh at things like that (unintentional humor), the movie is palatable. It never actually gets boring or painful to get through. As the director probably did, you too, will often forget that the movie even takes place in a war-torn world.Verdict: This movie would be great fodder for MST3K/Rifftrax ****4/10*** for making me laugh more than the recent Netflix comedies.
wyckedhart If this movie were graded like a college research paper the writer would be expelled for plagiarism. They are trying so hard to cash in in the popularity of the Hunger Games they forgot to have anything be original. I will be surprised if there are not lawsuits filed. Yes, it's that bad. I can forgive bad special effects if the plot and characters are good. Nope. Not in this movie. It's just dismal beginning to end. This is my first and probably only review of a movie. Save yourself and go take a nap instead.
estherhailey I love sci-fi and even good B movies, this however was a total pile of steaming garbage. I really wanted to like this movie, but there were just no good points.
