Desiderium lyrically charts the hapless loves of a three brother: Majid, they young handicapped brother with a deformed head falls in love with Aghdas, a prostitute hired by his eldest brother Habib to entertain him, not knowing the truth about her profession. Karim, the middle brother is so infatuated with a quail that he almost completely ignores his wife and her emotions. Habib himself is in love with Foroogh, a tailor lady who lives with them, while his sense of responsibility about Majid keeps him from requiting her affections.

Desiderium Audience Reviews

MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
milad621 First I watched this movie when I was about 10 years old. After watching again after about 12 years I see that I understood nothing that time. I just remembered some scenes also I knew how it would end.We can see a lot about Persian traditions in this movie like other works of Ali Hatami. Old houses and families live together. And also couples who eat food in the same plate. I don't think anybody live like this in Iran now. Behrouz Vosoughi was amazing. A different act as a crazy brother. Scenes where he is talking to himself are great.Great Dialogues is an important characteristics of Hatami's movies. I love dialogs of this movie.
