Btexxamar I like Black Panther, but I didn't like this movie.
Skunkyrate Gripping story with well-crafted characters
JinRoz For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
HottWwjdIam There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
Leofwine_draca Once again a modern-day action thriller seems to be universally hated among fellow 'net reviewers, and I can't see why. STRATTON isn't a great movie, that's for certain, but is it absolutely pitiful as my fellow reviewers would have you think? Not a bit of it. It's a cheap, gritty, terrorist-focused story in which SBS action man Dominic Cooper tracks down a mastermind with disaster in mind. The story is based on a novel by hard-nut author Duncan Falconer. This British film is full to the brim of small-scale but elaborate action sequences, from fist fights to car chases, shoot-outs and big explosions. The plot is predictable and has holes at times, but the story has real momentum that makes this a very easy watch, and that's all I really ask for. Cooper is well supported by an intriguing cast that includes Connie Nielsen, Gemma Chan, Derek Jacobi, Thomas Kretschmann and Tom Felton, and some of the stunts and choreography aren't too bad at all.
jaycurtis-46263 This is a pitiful film trying desperately to be a Bond film, with Dominic Cooper supposedly using this film to throw his name into the hat for the next lead.Awkward silences, cheesy dialogue and a plot twist that may be less obvious if the "mole" weren't Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy.
Colonelpotts Oh dear oh dear. What a surprise - that nasty Draco malfoy from Harry Potter is the bad guy? I knew as soon as the music sign-posted this by becoming sinister when he first appears and then the dire score just continued wall to wall throughout - for absolutely no reason. It added nothing. Less is more with music (unless you are a Chris Nolan). The cast overall wasn't bad (except for a horrible turn from the beautiful Danish Lady trying to do cold, posh English) but the directing was Ham fisted with pedestrian editing (man who dies then comes back to life on a boat anyone??). Unremarkable, pointless and badly executed. Passable as background noise if you're very ill one day...
showfna I wasted 1:34 mins of my precious life for this, everything was crap. I should have gone to sleep with my wife when she told me to!!! For the love of God do not watch.
