Supercross Audience Reviews

Linkshoch Wonderful Movie
Clevercell Very disappointing...
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
cincykid07 This movie was fun. I feel bad for the hardcore Supercross fans though, since a lot of the details on the bikes were really sloppily done. That is the directors or editors part. Do some research before you put that in the movie. Other than that, some have really spoken up about how bad the acting was in this movie. What? Its not Saving Private Ryan, its a sports movie driven mainly by teens and twenty somethings. The two actors Mike Vogel and Steve Howey do a good job playing brothers trying to survive in the sport of supercross. There love interest are equally appealing. It is a fun movie a couple of things left you scratching your head like what happened to the Carlyles father? I will chalk it up to again, bad editing. This movie is on par with its predecessor Winners take all , an equally entertaining supercross flick. Fun if you are young and into the sport. Bad if you are an old man watching it with your young kids or real hardcore supercross fan.
mwendel This is what I call a formula sports flick. The formula the very unknown local underdog plot line. Decent movie. 99.5% predictable. There's one little part at the very end I think doesn't go exactly as you might expect that might surprise about 1/2 the people watching, OK, maybe a 1/4.Its got some cool race scenes with an OK soundtrack. Fairly interesting characters. Not something I would go out of my way to see but it makes the time fly when you're ironing shirts.I enjoyed the movie, but its not one I see myself adding to the home DVD collection unless all of a sudden I become and extreme sports race junkie. Watch it if you want to - it won't hurt.
Seth Nelson Get ready for one of the most enduring, most exciting, and most greatest of all the sports films out there - "Supercross!!!!!" This movie took place at the greatest of those sports events, the Motocross Championships, in (ala Elvis) Vegas, baby! Now, these two men, brothers, must have what it takes to win it all and go for the gold!!!!! "Supercross" is one of those films that just screams, "I've had enough of the same old, same old sports stuff! This movie has everything: fast stuff, action, drama, suspense, the works! Not even movies like 'Raging Bull' and 'Million Dollar Baby' can come close to this stuff!!!!!"I felt the same way too when I heard about this movie. I, myself, thought of those exact same words in my head, which convinced me to have a go at this flick. And, man, is it ever good!!!!!Don't miss out on that great, great motorcycle film of the 2000s, "Supercross!" 10 stars.
dgz78 How can the writers of this movie cash their checks for what they did to one of the best sports for kids and adults. Did these guys ever attend a SX race? Did they even know what SX is until they saw some clips of real SX events? The script for this mess wouldn't be good enough to pass a high school writing class. They had to know that most of the people attending this movie would have some familiarity with SX and know how preposterous it is for an unproven rookie to get a factory ride. Yeah, and the Patriots look for their quarterbacks at the pick up games down at the city park. Here comes the spoiler (though anyone that watches the first five minutes of the movie and can't figure out how it will end is either watching the first movie of their life or sound asleep).KC gets a factory ride and walks away from it because its the right thing to do and beats his old teammate at the big race. Riiiiiight! I've been riding bikes for 30 years. My son and I have been going to 2 SX races every year since 1996 - one here at home on St. Louis as well as a weekend trip to Indianapolis. We've met all of the top racers from the last 15 years (including Tyler Evans) because they all accessible at the races during practices or in the pits. They are always nice and appreciative of the fans - whether its Jeremy or Ricky some lowly privateer with a 3 digit number.I know this movie was promoted at the races for two years before it was released and looking a the number of producers involved I can't believe someone couldn't figure out how to put the feeling of a real race into the picture. There were about ten seconds where I felt the excitement of walking into the RCA Dome for a race. The racing sequences were so phony and staged. Watch a race where Bubba or Ricky get a bad start and start moving up to catch the race leaders. Every time they pass someone the crowd roars until they take the lead and the stadium starts rocking. My expectations were not real high going into the theater. I knew this wasn't going to be Olivier doing Shakespeare. I mean Mike Vogel reached his acting heights on Grounded For Life. But the puppets on Mr Rogers do a better job of showing genuine emotions than anyone on this movie.1 star is really too many for this movie but since I can't give it zero it will have to do. But if you really want to see some good SX racing, get one of the Bar To Bar highlight DVDs. The people in them are real racers and they show highlights from real races, but the acting and the stories are better than Supercross - The Movie.
