The Cheetah Girls Audience Reviews

Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Freaktana A Major Disappointment
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
snperera I will always love this movie. The chemistry between all of the girls is so great and real and genuine. The singing and talent in this movie is so great and this movie has such heart and I love how you get to know each other girls lives and you see why they want to be a part of the cheetah girls and why it means so much to them. After High School Musical this is my second favorite Disney film.
sashank_kini-1 The Cheetah Girls tells about four friends who's band name is the same as the name of the movie. They are about to participate in a Talent hunt show at their school but then a bigger offer of singing for a famous person connected with music could make them well-known. But because of one girls being bossy and presiding over them, things don't go well. The thing I did not like in this movie is the amount of attitude each person shows. It has to be Raven who has to show much of attitude, not the other girls. But all of them behave in such a way that you love to hate them. Raven can't be blamed because she has to be bossy, but the other girls are unnecessarily shown too over smart. This is because of bad direction and not a well written script. The director could have told the other three girls to behave normally and not show their attitude while the script writer could have given the girls a much better script so that the audience felt as if only Raven was the bossy and the spoilt one and not the others.Proceeding to the performances, I feel that Raven has done a good job compared to the others in being a rude and mean girl but she gets somewhat irritating when you keep seeing her doing the same for a long time. The girl who comes as her best friend has not done a good job. The way she shouts over the telephone, her somewhat haggered looks and her expressions make you feel unsymphatetic for her even she she is shedding tears. The other black girl, I don't know her name, too has not given a good performance. In fact, she doesn't seem to be their friends at all. Her expressions and her way of talking towards Raven's best friend makes her look as if she is their nemesis. You know, when she talks to Raven's best friend, she looks as if she is commanding her. The fourth cheetah girl too hasn't done a nice job. You can't believe that she is a foster child with very little money with all her style and her way of talking. Raven, out of the four, shines because she has done more of acting, I think and because the other three are mainly singers. The lady who comes as Raven's mother makes me go red. She is so annoying, not letting Raven do anything and treating her like a child. I wouldn't have hated her so much if she had a shorter role. The man who comes as Raven's father has to be given the address of the Actor's school. Raven's best friend's mother didn't have much of a role, therefore, I am not commenting about her. There is no chemistry between Raven and the guy who loves her. The showed her rejecting him in some of the scenes but at last, he comes to console her when she is lonely. It looks as if she doesn't really care for him but just because she was so sad, he came as the agony aunt. The last Toto scene was perhaps one of the worst, the weirdest and the stupidest climax in the history of Hollywood. If my dog gets trapped in some manhole or something, only the animal control, my inquisitive neighbors and rarely, reporters would turn up. But her, almost a part of the city arrives to the spot. It's such a silly way to reunite the Cheetah girls. There are some witty dialogs though, especially when Raven says, "If he cannot respect my art, he cannot have my heart!". The songs are good to listen too but there was a shortage of songs. I mean, its about music so there should have been some more songs.Overall, its a hammy movie that fails to capture your heart and is uninspiring. 3 out of 10 is my final verdict.
Niketa Kitten JellyBean Zephaniah The fact that it was Disney and that the songs were rubbish may have put people off, but apart from that it was very good! The acting wasn't amazing, but it was still decent and nothing to hate the film over. And I liked the plot line, and just everything about the film, really! The only thing I didn't like were the songs. If it wasn't made by Disney and was made by a different company and there were better songs, then perhaps it would've been a more successful film.So I'd recommend it to people who'd have no idea it was made by Disney (although the cheesy songs may give it away). But it is a very good film and very emotional!
Bradley Baum This is another made-for-TV film and as such is a film that is not high on intellectual output but, if you just sit down and as with Charlies Angels 1 and 2 (the ones with Cameron Diaz, Bill Murray etc.) leave your brain at the door and just enjoy the film for what it is (which is a film about four mid to late teens trying to make it big as self-choreographed (by one of the group members) singers in the music industry) then you should have no problem liking or even loving the film. The film centres on four teenagers (the characters' ages not the actresses) but around them is the usual thoroughfare that is seen in these types of films. There was the unscrupulous record boss that wanted to change them and their style. There was the mother/manager that against her better judgement allowed her daughter and the group to almost get done by him and there was the silly ending that brought the girls back together after one was even less willing to follow the boss's ideas even more than the other three and walked away from the group. The other three eventually decided she was right and also left but by then the group was no more until the silly ending that is. Knowing and accepting that it was following the usual plot lines for this type of film meant it could be enjoyed and yes the second one was better but this one was by no means as bad as others have made it out to be. 8 out of 10 for me.
