The Green Hornet Audience Reviews

Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
cricketbat I wanted to like The Green Hornet, but this movie just doesn't work. The film spends so much time being silly that it isn't effective when it tries to be serious. Also, I think they rely too heavily on improvisation in their dialogue and let the characters rant, mumble or argue for too long. It has a few fun parts, but this movie will not be added to my superhero film canon.
Troy Putland The Green Hornet is Michel Gondry's first crack at a conventional story. Based on a 1930's radio show, this new turn out evenly distributes its hits and misses. Seth Rogen, as the millionaire man-child Britt Reid, has freedom to do as he pleases. Co-writing the script alongside long time friend Evan Goldberg, there's small disparity from their previous work (Superbad, Pineapple Express) i.e less improvisation. Rogen is perfect for the role, floundering his immaturity even after his father (Wilkinson) dies. He washes away the idea of succeeding his father as CEO of the family newspaper company, rehires his coffee maker, Kato (Chou) and becomes a masked vigilante. Rogen's in the backseat of this ride; Kato is a martial arts expert, weapons maker, mechanic and a life saver. He even (almost) gets the girl (Britt's secretary Cameron Diaz). Britt squabbles a great deal but does bring the fun and amusement. They are a highly engrossing pair. Gondry plays on our expectations; Rogen and Chou are equals, the fighting is tough and adventurous and Christoph Waltz's mob-boss has idiosyncratic flaws. The Green Hornet won't make you laugh out loud but it will exceed usual linear expectations. Watch it for Franco's cameo if not for anything else.
aford289 I first saw this movie at my uncle's house and i thought is was good, so now i own the DVD movie and i actually love it. i love the part where Seth Rogen Said's "My coffee taste like S***". And i also love the part later on in the movie when jay Chou said's "I go with you, but i Don't wanna touch you". I think Seth Rogen is a good comedian actor and also think jay Chou is a good actor as well. The whole film is pretty good and the action. I was surprise to see Cameron Diaz in the film playing Seth Rogen's security (something like that). I love this film and will keep it as always. I also think jay Chou is cute in the movie, and i used to have a crush on him but not anymore.I am not a Seth Rogen fan but i have to admit that he is a funny guy.
Jordache Wee The Green Hornet is not something what I expected it to be. It's like having Will Ferell and Mark Wahlberg together in The Other Guys.Seth Rogen as born loser and son inherited all his father's wealth and the newspaper agency turn Green Hornet along with his chauffeur Kato (pronounce as Cay-toe). Adventures into the crime scene. Portraying both good and bad roles. Two guys chasing after a newly hired secretary (Cameron Diaz) in the newspaper agency.Jay Chou has indeed improve his English but his fight scenes are heavily CGi all the way which would reminds you of Jet Li's The One.It's totally like some mixed game and The One in it. Poor storyline.Kevin Smith is best to write the script instead. Read the comic books is better than watching this.Bruce Lee is still the best!!
