Callum Crane, a lawyer and would-be federal judge, jeopardizes his chances at a judgeship by forcing himself on his secretary. He then worsens the situation by trying to have the woman murdered. Further complicating matters, he assigns the task to a young man who, unbeknownst to Crane, is actually his son, Nathan. Nathan refuses to do the deed, but not before informing several people, one of whom tries to take on the job.

The Guilty Audience Reviews

Unlimitedia Sick Product of a Sick System
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
felicia blake I saw this movie last night and was pleasantly surprised at what a good thriller it was.I won't give the plot away, but this film is full of twists and turns. At first I thought it was a long-lost son searching for his father, then I thought it was about a woman wronged. It had so many sub-plots, characters with agenda's and surprises galore.Devon Sawa (Final Destination) and Bll Pullman (Independance Day) are excellent in their roles, and add to the viewing pleasure. It starts out slowly, but gathers pace at an alarming rate.A buried treasure!
Brian T. Whitlock (GOWBTW) Knowing the truth can set you free, or head down the downward spiral. In "The Guilty" Bill Pullman plays a lawyer who sexually harasses and rapes his secretary(Gabrielle Anwar) and makes sure she doesn't go the authorities to tell about it. However, Callum Crane(Pullman) never expects to see his son Nathan(Devon Sawa) to arrive. He would later try to hire Nathan to have the secretary killed. So what does he do? He gives the money to do the crime himself. Knowing he was going over his head, he would try to stop the murder, and expose his father as perpetrator. In order to do that, he must reason with the victim, and stop the crime from happen. It was too late though, for her. But it wasn't too late for Nathan. He was the only hope to bring down his own father. That kind of action would not only destroy his family, but his own job as well. Great movie, great plot, full of suspense. I liked it! 4 out of 5 stars!
Crazee11218 This movie is awesome. i thought it would be okay at first. and the only reason i got it because Devon Sawa was in it. His acting is awesome and he's hot=]. It is one of my favorite movies now that i've seen it. its great. and i recommend you to watch it. i thought it would be an okay movie at first when i saw the cover. but boy was i wrong. It actually was the best movie. if you're a Devon Sawa fan and a fan of great movies. you should watch this movie. its cool. I recommend you guys to watch Idle Hands, Slackers, or Final Destination. All good movies with your very one Devon Sawa. admkedin BBC1 ran The Guilty as its late night movie on Friday, July 9, 2004. Well worth watching if you're too tired to go to the pub. Suspense, twists and turns reminiscent of the Coen Brothers or Quentin Tarantino. However I find it difficult to write 10 lines of text about it without giving too much away. The plot hinges on one of the characters being pursued for debt by some very nasty gentlemen and the reluctance of the hero to carry out a murder requested by a high flying lawyer who does not know his relationship to the hero. The hero is unable to prevent the hit being carried out and is arrested on suspicion of having done it himself. However loose ends are neatly tied up at the end with the aid of a Hitchcockian McGuffin (at least it looked like a McGuffin to me).
