The Last Lear Audience Reviews

Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
silvan-desouza Some films cannot be understood in 1 watch while some are abstract THE LAST LEAR is like that. It takes time to understand the film. The film has an interesting story but the way it's handled it is interesting but not for everyone. Amitabh's dialogues and his hatred towards films is well handled. There are other subplots too well handled, though some things are left unexplained like the accident part could be clearer. Direction by Rituparno Ghosh is greatAmitabh Bachchan plays the part superbly, he is the life of the film Preity Zinta is fab in her role, Arjun Rampal is great too Shefali Chaya won national award for her role does a great job, Divya Dutta is good too, the others are good
khalid Khan A very decent movie,it has been beautifully made by Rituparno Ghosh and should be watched to see the beautiful performances by all the casts. Each and every character portrayed in the movie was mind blowing and as i had said about its title, its characters suits it the most and no other actors would be as good as these in this movie. The story was very interesting and the best part is idea of taking an old,Shakespearean theater actor (Bachchan) and casting him in a motion picture is intelligent. All the other characters are well-written. Every character is portrayed as a struggling person. The way Bachchan ji has played his part is mind blowing and for me it is one of the best film by him till date.
Harjeet Kaur The Last Lear is a movie based on Shakespeare's play and after watching the movie you will surely realize how amazing the director Rituparno Ghosh is.The movie talks about Harish and his love for Shakespeare's plays and theater. The movie shows how he wanted to be successful as a stage actor but on his last performance he goes in comma.Planman production always came up with brilliant star cast and this time they have taken the great Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Not only him,all the other star cast priety zinta,Arjun Rampal and others all were very nice in the movie.Amitabh always experiments with his roles and have tried to show the mature and intensive performances day by day.
Abhra Ghosh I have seen Rituparno's Dosar and find that movie amazing, despite of be in Black and White,he always takes risk as taken in this movie, the movie is an art film which most of the people don't like to see but this movie, everyone should watch.Everyone in this film are really nice and have produced great performance.Be it Arjun,Preity Zinta or Shefali Shah. All are superb.Amitabh Bachchan is exceptionally talented and needs no words to describe his performance. Rituparno as a director is awesome in the last lear. The emotions are beautifully relayed across the screen. Those who can easily stretch their imagination find the movie amazing.
