A Disappointing Continuation

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

This movie was in a family movie pack (which had other movies as well) that I got at Wal-Mart, so I wasn't expecting greatness. However, this movie was really bad. THe story isn't an original story either. The acting was terrible and the fact that a father leaves his daughter alone without a babysitter is just appalling.I was hoping for something somewhat decent, but instead got a bland poorly acted movie. I assume little kids might like it, if they're not bored with it, but I think that even kids will find this movie really boring.Hmm, I need ten lines, so I have no idea what more to say that I haven't said already. The movie wasn't good...okay hopefully this will be enough.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Acting was terrible, both for the kids and the adults. Most to all characters showed no, little or not enough emotion. The lighting was terrible, and there were too many mess ups about the time of the day the film was shot (In the river scene where they just get their boat destroyed, there's 4 shots; The sheriff and Dad in the evening on their boat, Jillian and Molly in the evening swimming, the rest of the kids in the daytime *when it's supposed to in the evening* at the river bank, and the doctor, Beatrice, and Simonton at night but not in the evening getting off their boat.) The best acting in the movie was probably from the sheriff, Cappy (Although, there's a slip of character when the pulse detector *Whatever that thing is when people die, it beeps* shows Cappy has died, he still moves while it can still be heard beeping, and while the nurse extra checks his pulse manually, then it shows the pulse again, and THEN he finally dies.) I guess it's not going to be perfect, since it's an independent movie, but it still could be better. Not worth watching, honestly, even for kids. Might as well watch something good, like The Lion King or Toy Story if you're going to see anything you'll remember.

Kids loved it. Some of the adult actors were not so good. Most of the kids were believable. Locations were good. Shot in Indiana Has a bear in it that may be scary to some small children. Best to watch with parentsMy kids want to bulid a raft and float down the creek. This was an independent film that the producer's daughter starred in.She did a good job. Special effects were good especially the "HAl 9000" I liked the message of the film. Faith Truth and Couorage.I recommend this film for any school age children. Very good family film.

We watched this movie as a family on Showtime and really enjoyed it. My kids, especially my daughter (8) has watched it four times since, getting up early to watch it. To get her out of bed early is something during the summer...And as a parent I like the message of the film, faith, truth and courage. It's hard to find good things for my kids to consume on TV but this is an exception It's a throw back to the Huck Finn lazy days of summer. The scenery is great and the raft the kids float down river,I wish I had made when I was a kid.I recommend it!
