The Parole Officer Audience Reviews

Unlimitedia Sick Product of a Sick System
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Curt Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
l_cobern1989 This a very enjoyable film and is a great family film as well only if the kids are older than 12. I first watched it on video finding it at a car boot sale. I was defiantly glad i got it because i couldn't stop laughing through out the whole of the film. Since i have had it i have watched it about 8 times and still laugh each time. It has a great cast in it as well, such as Ben Miller, Om Purin, Lena Headey and many more. They all put in great performances that keep the audience laughing thanks to Steve Coogan who wrote the film himself. This a brilliant British comedy and will keep you laughing through out the whole of the film.
lastliberal Steve Coogan (A Cock and Bull Story, Hot Fuzz)shines as a parole officer, who was wrongfully accused, joining his band of parolees in a delightful comedic romp to clear his name. Lena Headey (300) joins the fun, as does Omar Sharif. Not being familiar with Coogan's work on British TV, I was impressed with his talents and think there is some fine work ahead from him. Of course, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Headey, and would like to see much more of her.I usually don't go for crude humor, but I did have to laugh at the roller coaster bit.
Chris Mooney (dhsb58) It is certainly an excellent film and i feel that i wasn't disappointed once while on screen. From start to finish was excellent plot and storyline. Most of the gags are visual "the falling chair" "the roller-coaster".Like Patridge there are many similarities. The talking of his Account number is definitely Alan.I feel its Norman Wisdom/Peter Sellers & partridge rolled into one. What more do you want. The roles of the other characters are also great. "Im a fishmonger" are so funny. You just have to laugh at his misfortune.I also don't know why people don't like this film,i would certainly give it 9.2.I am a Alan partridge fan, but seeing him take on another role (hapless, misfortunate goon) shows another side of coogan.Surely you find the fight scene hilarious with the fan? "That's £20 thats 40 each"
SunTzu-4 Having read some of the other comments, I can only say that some people take their comedy far too seriously: I really enjoyed seeing this at the cinema and bought the DVD to share it with my friends. I can't think of anyone with whom I've seen this who didn't enjoy it - there are some great one-liners, some really funny visuals, and the comedy is all based on character rather than pratfalls (although there are some of those too). The cast all seem like they were having fun: Coogan is Coogan, Lena Heady is delectable (especially in the shower) and Om Puri is predictably brilliant. The minor characters are all well cast and add to the fun. I found this film thoroughly likable - and I think you probably will too.
