Samuel Peters (Edward Furlong), once an ordinary man, dabbles in the laws of voodoo to bring his wife back from the grave. He soon encounters the God of malevolence ‘Kalfu’ (Corey Feldman), and makes a pact with him to destroy the underworld and bring chaos to earth. In return, he will become ‘The Zombie King’ and walk the earth for eternity with his late wife. But, as the ever growing horde of zombies begins to completely wipe out a countryside town, the Government set-up a perimeter around the town and employ a shoot-on-sight policy. Trapped within the town, the locals, an unlikely bunch of misfits, must fight for their lives and unite in order to survive. Can our heroes unravel the clues in time and survive or will The Zombie King and his horde of zombies rise on the night of the dark moon?

The Zombie King Audience Reviews

Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Adam Podmore I watched this film with my brother, gotta say I thought this was one of the funniest films I've seen for a while along with Ted and TV program Modern Family. The Milk Man was amazing and funny, he had me belly laughing. The scene with the shed ha ha ha ha ha and then he smells his finger after grabbing the girls boobs, its so funny that's what a desperate man would do that doesn't get a bird. The church scene was awesome finding out how to kill a zombie, it was genius that they used a different method than the usual. Makes the milk man character even more comical using his milk bottles.I really liked the flash backs to the characters stories to show how they have got to where they are.I also really like the fact that the film tells you how the zombie outbreak started, they didn't even do this in Shaun of the Dead.I really liked all the character's the crazy older lady, the traffic warden that's a jobs worth, the postman who thinks he's action man, the mole that turns out to be a good guy, the two lads from the bakery 'I only popped out for a chocolate muffin'. The young girl, the girl who was a ball breaker and the girl who wont take any nonsense from anyone. Then there's the Samuel Peter's causing all this trouble to get his wife back but which one? Having a demon in a zombie film is cool too, I actually looked the name up after and Kalfu is a real Demon of the underworld, the writers really did their homework, the character was really well acted by Corey Feldman who I didn't realise was mouth from the Goonies, another awesome film.At the age of 18 I can see why our age group really like this film, I think the rating was a bit heavy from the age of 16 this would crack them up
angelseyes55 I wasn't sure what I would make of this film before i saw it and I must say i was pleasantly surprised. Now don't get me wrong, it is not going to be winning an Oscar but for a popcorn movie and some light entertainment it really is fun! I would have maybe liked to see a tad more horror, but in terms of entertainment value i was pleased. There was some fantastic acting and the cast were great, some weaker characters but the central ones of the milkman, postie and traffic warden were a hoot and some great acting from some of the supporting characters too. As a comedy this is definitely a winner and as a horror it was good enough to be enjoyable, great for a night in when you want to chill after along hard day. Well done.
harry-huw The story focuses around Edward Furlongs character 'Samuel Peters' who isn't coping with the death of his wife, he turns to the Corey Feldman's character, voodoo god of malevolence 'Kalfu' to make a deal to re-unite him with his wife. When this going on we're also given the story of the people suffering from the consequences of Samuel Peters actions. The story follows the three main characters which are a Milk Man, Post Man and a Traffic Warden, the banta between them is what sets the tone for the film. Even though the humor can be tongue and cheek at times, it's what makes this a cracking little indie film. The film does have its flaws along with other B movies but this charming film can be forgiven for that as it has my favorite child star actors of the 80's anyone who is a Feldman or Furlong fan should watch this. Its on the same vain as Shaun of the Dead but a little darker.
hobhobhobbins Not your usual zombie movie, concentrated mostly on the living rather than the dead, would of liked to see more of Feldman, very creepy character, more George 'night of the living dead' Romero zombies than Resident evil on the zombie makeup front. Loved the postman's character has some funny moments, great actor I don't know why I haven't seen him in work before now. Good to see Furlong back on my TV, huge crush on him back from pet sematary days!Expecting a part 2 from this as the ending wasn't finale Furlong marry me please!
