Wayne Gretzky is a vampire who can't grow his teeth. His impotence began when he inadvertently killed Mary Lipinsky, the love of his life, 300 years ago. To take his mind off the pain, he teaches college history - who better? Attempting to regain his full power, he enlists help from his friend and colleague, Dr. Levine. Nothing works until a new semester brings freshman Chris Keller. She's a dead ringer for Mary and they have a lurid affair, while rumors fly around the campus. But it all sours when he turns Chris into a vampire and her newfound bloodlust spins out of control in a bloody rampage, making the rumors a little too real.

Vamp U Audience Reviews

GurlyIamBeach Instant Favorite.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
selienvdvelden I like the new vampire movies, so this one was on my list. It's nothing like Twilight, just saying (I liked Twilight, but I know there are a lot of people who are not very fond of the whole shiny-vampire-romance). This is definitely nothing like it. I did read the review that was written here on IMDb, and so I did not expect much of it, but it was a nice movie. I had a couple of laughs, definitely did not waste my time, and there are some pretty nasty things going on, made it interesting. Couldn't help but thinking it was kinda like a mix between American Pie and Buffy. So if you like fantasy, bloodsucking hot teenage girls & bad jokes - watch it.
marritjonker This movie is really boring and bad. I stopped watching after 20 min because the acting was bad and the storyline. I love vampire movies or series but this one really sucked. When the movie started i already thought wtf is this. But okay i do like Alexis Knapp and i guess that's why i downloaded it. (I'm sorry for the bad English i think there are some faults in the grammar lol) If you want to see the movie i say give it a shot but i didn't liked it. My opinion. This is a really cliché movie and i know that and i didn't even saw the whole movie. I don't know what you guys think of it but i say that you don't have to spend your time on this.
Destroyer Wod *Very Minimal Spoilers, i put it mostly cause i am not sure if it can be considered spoilers really, better prevent than being sorry* Its kinda surprising this movie only got 3 reviews considering i saw it in the video store of my local village in the Eastern township of Quebec.Honestly i was expecting something somewhat middly funny with some teen romance but that could also make me feel for the characters. Honestly i was half satisfy in that department. Let me explain. This movie enter the category of Never Cry Werewolf, My Babysitter's a Vampire, Suck and even Decoy which use aliens, all of those funny light hearted vampire/werewolves movies. Even maybe Fright Night which is a bit more adult based, especially the remake. Its not to be taken seriously, its teen stuff, you usually get yourself in the place of the characters and think "how cool would it be if that was me" lol.The thing is, this movie failed a bit to relate me over the characters. The fat dude ain't that funny or cool, the "boyfriend" dude ain't really a boyfriend and more or less a childhood friend with a very minimally developed relation in the movie. You never really feel for this guy. The prof vampire, i couldn't even really feel for him either as he seem to show regret killing sometimes but you see him kill and pretty much he don't care really about the guy that he killed. Or he make bad jokes about siring(and now having to kill her) the daughter of his former love that he tough he killed...All the relations in the movie seem to be somewhat badly developed and the laughs are kinda minimal. Yet somehow i still kinda liked the movie and was not bored or anything... i would say it was borderline. The chick playing Chris was interesting and she was to my opinion the best character of the movie. The Sorority girls where also hot, and somewhat i kinda liked the movie... so i would say honestly its OK, don't expect to be impress but it ain't trash either. The fact that it don't take itself seriously at all really help giving it the free pass...
Paul Magne Haakonsen Well, this wasn't no Bram Stoker's "Dracula", nor was it (luckily) not a Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight" either. This movie was sort of a light-hearted romantic comedy with just a hint of horror, oh, and with vampires.The story is about a college professor named Wayne Gretzky (played by Adam Johnson) who becomes enthralled with the new student to his class Chris Keller (played by Julie Gonzalo). They start to have a relationship, but it turns out that they have more in common than just a mutual attraction. And the fact that Wayne is a vampire also does tend to prove somewhat of an issue in matters of the heart.I will say that the storyline was fairly straight forward, however, it wasn't particularly an impressive or overly interesting storyline. And what kept the movie afloat was the use of comedy throughout the movie. Mind you, it is not the kind of comedy that will have you laughing hard and in tears, but it is the kind that worked well enough and was just subtle enough to peak its funny head.It should be noted, however, that the people hired for the various roles and characters were actually doing good jobs with the roles and characters that they were given. It was just the script that proved somewhat of a ball and chain around their ankles.In overall, then "Vamp U" is a movie that is intended for a young teenage girl audience, and it doesn't really offer much for others in the audience, as this movie is a no brainer from start to end.Could have been more, but it catered to a teenage girl audience.
