Wolf Warrior 2 Audience Reviews

SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
LouHomey From my favorite movies..
Suman Roberson It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
magnus-tuvendal It's what's on the cover and an average 5. Giving this an 8 is inflated. Then your up against Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. A 5 makes this as good as The Last Jedi... But a Chinese protagonist (pr, propaganda take your pick) makes the movie. Replace the Chinese with Americans and this would be ... business as usual. But as it is this is educational.
themizzz Allryt fella its not bad like old reviews u see its good movie with geat action but direction was bad i mean u knw its all about direction
Hellmant 'WOLF WARRIOR 2': Four and a Half Stars (Out of Five)The blockbuster Chinese action sequel to 2015's 'WOLF WARRIOR', about a rebellious Chinese soldier who goes on special missions around the globe. In this sequel he's protecting African medical aid workers from violent rebels and arms dealers. Wu Jing stars as the special ops hero Leng Feng, and the movie costars Celina Jade, Frank Grillo, Hans Zhang and Wu Gang. Jing also wrote, co-produced and directed the film, which has broken records all around the world (and became the highest grossing movie ever in China's history)! It's also received mostly positive reviews from critics, and I had a blast watching it too. Leng Feng (Jing) returns to his hometown, with his special ops forces, and finds it overran by a corrupt real estate company. Feng ends up killing the company's boss, and being sent to military prison for 2-years (as he's also discharged from service). Once released, Feng begins working on a freighter delivering relief supplies to Africa. While doing this, he also becomes involved in a very bloody civil war there. This leads to Feng volunteering to help protect a newly discovered Lamanla vaccination, from evil rebel forces. They're lead by a ruthless mercenary named Big Daddy (Grillo). The movie reminds me a lot of the blockbuster action flicks that I grew-up on as a kid. It especially reminds me of a Chinese version of a 'RAMBO' flick (specifically the second one). So for me the film is kind of nostalgic, and I love movies that make me feel nostalgic. It's kind of silly, over-the-top, and cartoonish too, but that's what makes it so much fun. Jing is also a great action hero lead, and Grillo makes a totally badass bad guy in it! It's an awesome movie for people that love awesome action movies, I'd say without a doubt.
Mr_Vinyl A lot of people here don't seem to like this movie based on its nationalistic themes. Yes it is nationalistic, but no more than Independence Day or Saving Private Ryan. It's just a new brand of nationalism that were not accustomed to seeing. Take that away, and it's a well-made action movie. No one said that this is like Farewell My Concubine. The overall effects are excellent, except that the blood looks too fake (CGI). There are a few ''corny'' parts, and it does lack character depth, but taken solely as an action/war movie, it's very good and entertaining - and no, it's not the greatest film China has ever made.. Don't see this expecting a grandiose spectacle like Hero or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and you won't be disappointed.
