Catastrophe Audience Reviews

More Review
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
SpunkySelfTwitter It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
juinrenee Laugh out loud funny. I love the adult humor. Absolutely smart. You won't be disappointed in this show. I love the interaction between the two main characters and I wondered if they were married in real life. Speaks to reality in a funny way. Take time to watch this show. These are people who are like my friends but better and honest.
Donal Waide If you don't get sarcasm then don't watch this. It's hilarious and packed with sarcasm. The humor is crude and there's a lot of sex, but funny sex. We are halfway through Season 2 and thoroughly enjoying it. At 24 minutes an episode on Amazon Prime, you can manage a few belly laughs every night. Plenty of laugh out loud moments. You can find yourself rooting for and against a person in the same episode plenty of times. You will be offended if you are of the sensitive nature. While not as insulting as South Park a few stereo types are brought into play and very well done. It is obvious the on screen chemistry of the two actors (also the writers of the show) is fantastic.
lalataylorlife What draws me to a comedy requires that I can relate too the situations and the characters. As an African-American female, there can be times when it's difficult to focus when no one looks like me. However, the story of this couple is so relatable regardless of race or location. Their story could happen to anyone, and the relationship continues to be realistic. What I love most is that the success of their relationship comes from their ability to find humor even at the worst of times. And they don't take themselves too seriously. If more real relationships developed this quality there would be less divorce in the world. But that is my humble opinion. This is a great watch for anyone looking to have a good time and a great laugh!
Deebee Daydreamer (deebeeinthesky) Catastrophe is a comedy that resembles beam of refreshing sunshine amongst a shower of re-hashings and blatant rip-off attempts (not that I'm saying Catastrophe is wholly original, that's just how it feels). In the madness of modern life a pessimist and a withdrawn mercenary find comfort in each other and inadvertently make a baby.Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney make for a dream of a double act and give an honest natural performance with surprise laughs round every corner. It's all perfect until eventually the pair have to interact with blandly over-the-top recurring characters (to be fair most of which gladly improve - if ever so slightly - in the second run) which miss the "likeable eccentric" target by a country mile. At least some good comes from hilarious cameos from Carrie Fisher at the expense of poor Sharon.Even the ridiculous secondary characters can't dull the couple's explosive comedic chemistry. I wouldn't hesitate to call Catastrophe the best TV comedy of the decade so far. A fantastic sitcom.
