Cracked Audience Reviews

Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
icelandknight As a Biker, I really wanted to give this show a chance, since there are so few good cop shows around. Watched the pilot of season 01 and pilot of season 02... to make up my mind, and it SEEMED interesting enough to give it a chance... So I settled in for what I thought would be an enjoyable season 2. Some of the plots seemed very childish, but what can one expect with "crazy people", so you'd think they could get away with ANY plot. Is what I thought... but it wasn't the crazy plot that was its downfall, its an arrogant cop blatantly harassing a suspect. This is grounds for suspension on a normal police force.(S02E05) Obviously the arrogant cop is envious of a rich developer, so, when he suspects the rich guy is making life hell for an old fart who won't sell his house to the rich developer, the cop goes out of his way (as I am sure many corrupt cops do) to self righteously harass him, in any way he can. Even after they find out who poisoned the guy's dog, they still demand the rich guy fork out for repairs to a house the guy's brother blew up. ?!? Wouldn't now be when the cop (and his inspector) make life easier for the developer, since he was not responsible for the greed of the culprit. This casts an unforgettable dark shadow on the character of this arrogant cop.It is clearly stated by them, that this harassment "would halt all progress on the building site." Causing delays and wasted money of the developer, who is trying to make the city a better place. At this point the rich guy should have sued the police, and used his powerful connections, to get the crooked inspector, and his self righteous "officer", fired. (This plot twist opportunity was totally missed by the writers.)Add to this, pointlessly, the lawyer (white female) of the rich guy is made a lesbian, who goes for the (black female) inspector (nothing wrong with that, one never knows who is horny, and acting on it (Harvey Weinstein, anyone?)), and she dumps the rich guy as a client, so there's no conflict of interest, getting it on with the inspector. Yet, no other lawyer is brought in, by the rich guy. So why bring a lawyer, the first time? That seems to have been JUST to bring in some lesbian action, that is then totally scrapped. The plot is so superficial, shallow and pointless, that it starts to be tedious, and more random events, to show a horny lesbian, which nothing more is then done with. So what was the point? Is it just so the black female inspector can then show up at the cop's house, drunk, (from shame? Remorse? Acting on her impulse?) Then kiss him? A guy?! Purpose? She's not really gay after all? or is she "bi"? None of these things are made clear, or their purpose, and there is no plot connection. There's no lesbian angle development. There's no point to her going to his place, drunk, except to try and show how "lucky" this cracked, self righteous cop is, but still unrealistically wading through more women, than you. Then the next episode (S02E06) WTF! A Native American screaming, as he carries the bloody body of a woman, and the cop does NOT call an ambulance? or backup? (because he's probably "cracked", so no need to do anything for him, "not my job"). Then the Native American starts shooting into the woods, but the cop does NOT get out of the car, to warn him, and shoot him dead? Instead the cop, unrealistically, just stays in his car, and doesn't try to help in any way. Then the Native American, who conveniently doesn't speak any English (possibly the comment here is: he's speaking original American, that others think must be 'cracked'). When they get him into custody, and hear he speaks only his tribal language, no interpreter is called in, until much later. Its like these imbeciles don't think. When the audience is more intelligent that the idiots on the screen, who are supposed to be some sort of "specialist squad"... That kills all interest in the Crap you are watching. On the other hand, I may watch a few more episodes. Maybe they improve? I sincerely doubt it. Once you KNOW the cop is a corrupt, self righteous a$$hole, he loses all likability and credibility. One always remembers him that way. Same as how Moulder lost all sympathy in Season 5 (or 7, been a while) of "X-Files".So ridiculous also, in the pilot of season 2, when they tell him the woman from the first season, will not be in this season, he just takes up with some other one, who just happens to have been assaulted in the first episode. How unrealistic is that? She just stays on, for the rest of the season. If this was the case, wouldn't he now have a line of Psychiatrist women he's saved, and who join him on cases he's tackling. It makes no sense. Any way you look at it. Who pays her wages? Can she now just go off and leave her ward unattended? Its not "Cracked" its "Craped".Also Trivia: The sound engineers constantly use Harley type motorcycle sounds, whenever they are outside. Also the cop is on a bike (looks like a Triumph), but it seems an attempt at a symbol rather then he be a Biker type. That side of him is left unknown. The bike is just a flashy montage, when he's getting between places. He's never shown with shopping bags dangling off his handlebars, from lack of saddlebags. Someone wanted motorcycle involvement, in the show, without thinking it through. Cool black police car, though, with "police" black on black.... or was this milking the word "Psych", which was much better show.
g-tunnicliff Well being especially mental health is a difficult subject to build a TV show on - it relies on the main characters being liked enough by the viewer to be entertained. In this regard Cracked has done very well. The main character has to be cracked but competent and the characters around him have to be empathetic or there is no reason to keep main character. Also even though some of the subjects each week are not flattering we must empathise with their problems. Thus Cracked has done very well - this can only be accomplished by good acting and good storytelling. Overall the series has accomplished a lot but now the interplay between the characters has to drive the story and hopefully see the problems that materialize.
sheilamarie-792-457401 Cracked is awesome!!I love the crime show genre, and this one is different enough to stand out from the crowd and entice me to watch every episode. Too many crime shows are built from the same mold. This show contains plenty of storyline and plot development, but still has a certain amount of thrill to it...so its not just mindless guts and gore, its not just another Drama, not just another who-dun-it show. I think it dips its toes just enough into each.Cracked is a well written, nicely developed crime show. I love the character development over time, the subtlety between characters one can pick up on if you watch every episode...If you are looking for a more compassionate crime show, Cracked is for you. It focuses on Crimes involving the mentally ill in a manner in which I think we all wish real life police officers would. All In all I give Cracked a full rating, because it gave me everything I look for in a new crime show.
Cl Ee Let me start by saying that I only watched the pilot for this series. And it was one of the worst pilots I have ever seen. How they managed to churn out more episodes is beyond me.The show has a number of flaws. Firstly the characters are really thin. On top of that the pilot features one of the most unimaginative cases I have ever seen. With so many excellent crime series out there, the writers can hardly expect us to find a light-bulb stuck in a body entertaining, intriguing or intelligent. As if that isn't enough, the characters hardly to any investigating. With the psychiatry angle, I was expecting maybe a little bit of profiling reminiscent of Criminal Minds, but apart from a few really weak questions here and there, nothing really happened. This show is neither good when it comes to psychiatric aspects or crime. All in all, I'm shocked that anyone finds it good. It's a tragedy.
