Eastwick Audience Reviews

Ehirerapp Waste of time
GazerRise Fantastic!
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Isaac Esler To anyone who may be thinking of watching Eastwick,I won't presume to tell you what you should and should not watch, but I do with to warn you in advance. SPOILER. There is no reasonable excuse for the depiction of rape by Joanna Frankel (Lindsay Price) in episode 8 (Paint and Pleasure). In the afore mentioned episode Frankel forces (ie. against his will) a man to have sex with her in order to make herself feel better about herself. Later it is revealed that the man is is a happily married gay man, and her rape will likely result in the end of said marriage. The show treats this horrific event as light-hearted humor. You have been warned
COB-3 I've read the very good book and seen the pretty decent film and now have tried the not so good TV show Eastwick. It looks to be more targeted at a female audience and has echoes of Desperate Housewives in the initial female voice-over. It also seems to be missing a decent script and suffered from so-so acting. None of the main characters are particularly good. There are also far too many characters although this being TV means that some characters will probably get exposure and story time they don't merit. That said if people don't know either the book or the film then it's light probably passable but really not that good.
Damitlou It has been a long time since I've given a show a try and fallen in love so quickly...before the first half hour finished! The cast works amazing together, they're very believable in their roles....and not just the main roles. It's light and dark at the same time. My only complaint was that some of the commercial breaks weren't quite long enough for me to dart to the bathroom. I feared I might explode before the end, but I didn't want to miss even a second! I can easily see myself waiting on the edge of my seat after the finale. I'm already itchy for next week. I hope they can keep up the 'oomph' that the pilot has! Way to go, it's certainly a winner!
arikathome Looks like it will be a cute, easy watching show that should appeal to a wide range of family viewers. No big, deep messages or morals, nor roll in the aisles comedy, but keeps you smiling the whole way through. The three women work well together, their very different personalities contrasting and complementing just like the very different powers that they possess. Jaime Ray Newman is totally believable as the "doormat" housewife, and mother of five (and the favorite character of our five kids). Lindsay Price and Rebecca Romijn also fit their roles perfectly as the scatterbrained journalist and the earthy artist. We will tune in to see how this "dynamic trio" will come together to confront the ideally cast demon Paul Gross, and the small-town small-minded community that they are about to be unleashed upon.
