Family Matters Audience Reviews

FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
burdnina I enjoyed watching each and every episode of Family Matters. Each character played out their role so fabulously, that even words cannot describe it. Be it Steve Urkel, Carl, Laura or Waldo Faldo, the chemistry was unreal between these characters. It made you feel that you were a part of their family. I truly enjoyed watching this Sitcom and I hope they make more TV Shows like this in the future!!!
shawn_cool_great Family Matters is quality television that can be enjoyed by the whole family. It's funny, warm, and can be appreciated by all. This is a show where you can laugh and learn important lessons about life and not have jokes about sex, drugs, and violence. It's just so shameful that shows like this are very scarce these days. Another nice thing about this show is that it's able to be a good wholesome programming without being sappy or annoying like other shows, e.g. (Full House). The glue that really held this show together was Steve Urkel. Urkel is one of the most beloved television characters of the 1990's. Urkel is truly one of the funniest television characters in television history. Family Matters is a show that can be loved and treasured by all. However, I will admit that in the later seasons the show went downhill, becoming more like a science fiction show.
Aaron1375 It had some moments during its early seasons. Urkel was just the neighbor kid from next door or something and was all right in small doses, even funny. Then the people who made the show got the bright idea to use him in every episode, then finally having him almost as the star of the show, which by this time the show was over and done for me as I did not really care for him that much at this point as a six foot guy wearing that outfit looked disturbing. The robot was extremely disturbing too, and I am pretty sure nothing that advance could have been made especially in the 1990's and the episodes where Steve would not be Urkel and the person playing him was just being himself were bad too as he probably thought he could show people he was not a nerd in real life, but he kind of still came across as a bit dorky. The show though started out rather good as it mainly focused on Carl a cop and his wife who started as the elevator operator on "Perfect Strangers". They had a son and daughter and their lives were the typical sitcom family. Though I enjoyed the fact the dad was a cop and the same guy who played the cop in the hit movie "Die Hard". If only they had left well enough alone and not focused the whole show on one stock character. Still, he must of been loved by most or otherwise they would not have been compelled to do so.
gangstahippie Rated TV-G Quebec Rating:G Canadian Home Video Rating:G Canadian TV Rating:GI did not see Family Matters during its initial run because I was a little kid.But when the show started playing in syndication on channels such as TBS back in 2002, I started watching it.Family Matters is good for the whole family. Its a very funny show with uplifting messages. While most of the series is funny, some of it is dramatic as well. Its too bad this has not been released on DVD yet! The show is basically about the misadventures of the Windslow family and their nerdy next door neighbor Steve Urkel.Family Matters is a great show that they should put on DVD.
