Girl Meets World Audience Reviews

More Review
Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
SoftInloveRox Horrible, fascist and poorly acted
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
amcsungirl Honestly only watching this for the guest appearances of all the BMW crew! I've skipped around for those episodes on purpose & Riley/Maya's story line just isn't as exciting as Shawn and Cory's was! The acting is sub par (although I myself couldn't do any better...) and just not like the original BMW. All shows are cheesy but this one is extra cheesy.. and not in the best way... also too political for me for some episodes..
vadakin-81025 OK hopefully this helps a few of you out or at least is one of the few sensible reviews on here. Any boy meets world fan has probably given this show a try & you can't expect those viewers to all have the same feeling about the show. Considering the viewers over ten years ago were a different age. Disney has changed like everything else. Here a taste of what we all loved, but for a younger audience. As we all did for boy meets world when we were younger. Love it or hate it...no show will appeal to everyone and it's not supposed to. There is a reason this show does have its fair share of good ratings. Because those it suppose to appeal to...it has done with success. Have an open mind about it before making a disrespectful review. It is what it is. Be glad we all have our memories of when these adult stars were younger & be happy this generation gets a small taster of it, but also with an all new twist. I personally don't get as much as I did out of the old show, but if ur fair and logical about why u might not...it's doesn't bug you as much. So for anyone reading reviews for this show take that into consideration. Many folks watching girl meets world were toddlers when boy meets world was out. The people that do enjoy this show will be saying the same thing when they get older...depending how long this show lasts. That being said, the creators know when they can't make something that happens to be better than ever expected and has so much nostalgia to it now. At least you get a taste of ur old childhood characters back...& at least that little bit can be shared with the new generation with a little connect the dots history to be explained as well. Don't lose sleep over it. It's not for everyone. People seem to be completely aware of the audience Disney attracts nowadays...but seem to be so butthurt when it doesn't attract them....that makes no sense if you already understand prior to the fact that Disney has changed like everything does. For better or worse, but definitely for a younger audience. So this show comes out for a younger gen & people in there late twenties and thirties get butthurt. It's not for all the boy meets world fans, Disney is one of the most successful industries out there. Don't you think they know that? Come on now! Be happy be get to see our folks on screen again. I never expected too. When it was announced I was happy but also knew it wouldn't be the same. Of course it wouldn't. This is a fair review and I think 5 out of 10 is as expected...and not one of those numbers is for disappointment. It's because it's half good for us fans to see our beloved characters again...and the other half is because I just can't watch it for the same reasons as boy meets world...because once again...we're not supposed too. If you don't like disneys shows nowadays...why would u expect any more? The 7 out of 10 and higher will be because you truly do like the show still or it's the people it's supposed to appeal to. Just go with it yal. It's all good.
Berto Axel Yeah, the acting is mostly wooden, but what really kills this show is the script. It seems that the kids do nothing but sit around and deliver to each other unbearably long and preachy moralizing lectures. I can't imagine anybody, whether you are an adult or a 13-year-old girl, actually enjoying watching THIS. It feels like the script has been written by a committee of lawyers and PR experts, not by actual writers. Disney shows are supposed to be sanitized and maximally inoffensive, but any semblance of real life has been so completely sucked out of this show, there is literally nothing left to watch here.Whenever they do show one of the actual classes taught by Cory, of course no real learning ever occurs there. Just more preaching, holding hands and singing kumbaya. You can't even tell which subject is supposed to be taught in any of those classes, math, English, history, geography, or whatever. Learning is not important - we get that message loud and clear. Even if you are looking for a kid show providing escape from reality and from the problems and conflicts of the real world, this show is not it - it just bores to death. Go and re-watch E.T. instead.
KamikochiKeith I think early reviewers were too critical of this show. I believe it has more depth and better acting than most TV shows. I think it's even superior to than the original Boy Meets World! Smile-bringing Riley is the quirky, bohemian one, all awkward legs and arms yet optimistic to a fault; outsider Sabrina is the boisterous, fearless (and sometimes sad)one, pretty and sociable and someone who delights in poking both her classmates and family friends to get them out of their comfort zones; others are handsome Lucas: the sensitive, religious one, he's usually just as confused as every male teen (being he's a year older and thus more mature)to this new concept called girl culture; then there's the eager-to-please intellectual Farkle with the ability to remake himself if he chooses, his comical girlfriend who's smarter in some ways yet immature socially, and Isaiah, the new kid who seems eager to make friends yet is terrible at it. There is even the oddball tall girl, short beau, which I had in my junior high school! Okay, the parents are not very realistic, but at least mom the lawyer is seen studying sometimes. The gimmick was always that teachers were never like Mr. Feeney(hence the humor)or Corey Matthews. But there is an air of magical mystery to these kids' teacher's intentions sometimes as was present in the previous series. Just when the kids thought they pulled one over and got everything and everyone under their control, goodness and niceness and not selfishness they learn wins out, contrary to their expectations. The old-show visitors sometimes work well (superintendent of schools, Farkle's dad) but usually don't(Squirrels). The plots are usually solid, very naturalistic yet going for the punchline too. Once in a while a nonsensical speech is made, and apparently the writers thought it understandable. There is talk that it may be canceled before it's time (love to see them graduate from HS) because of escalating actors salaries or the busyness of its two main stars (one's a singer, the other is an outspoken-- if perhaps gullible-- critic of gender issues). Rumors differ. However, I'd love to see it continue but without major revision into awkwardly uncomfortable drama (as has also been rumored). Still, the female version is better than Boy Meets World!!!
