Info

Hole in the Wall is a game show that has aired in two versions on American television. The first version aired on the Fox television network from 2008 to 2009. The show was an adaptation the Japanese game Nōkabe in which players must contort themselves to fit through cutouts in a large 13 feet by 7.5 feet Styrofoam wall moving towards them on a 50 feet track. FremantleMedia North America produced the series. Brooke Burns and Fox announcer Mark Thompson were the hosts of this version. On May 20, 2008, Fox announced that it would commission 13 hours of Hole in the Wall from FremantleMedia North America. According to a Hollywood Reporter report, these hours could be split and aired as 26 episodes. Production began July 13, 2008 at CBS Studios-Radford. On March 17, 2009, Fox pulled the series again, replacing it with reruns of King of the Hill and American Dad!. The program's cancellation was announced in May 2009. On July 20, 2010, Cartoon Network announced that it picked up the series, now updated for its younger audience. The series premiered October 6, 2010, with Real World Hawaii cast member Teck Holmes as host. A second cycle debuted in April 2011, and features a new co-host, lifeguard Aaron Gingrich. On January 19, 2012, the CN version of Hole in the Wall aired its last episode.

Hole in the Wall Audience Reviews

Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Jeanskynebu the audience applauded
Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
tallmexJG Where do we begin? OK, very first annoyance that seems so obvious to me: Is there a point in this 22 or so minutes of "TV" where the audience is not, that is NOT, clapping and cheering? Seriously, what kind of drugs are these people on that they never stop trying to push as much energy into a energy less show? I don't understand how Fox is not sued per show for sore hands.Sencond annoyance: Is it me, or does the contestants seem a little to hyped up and overexcited to a point where you get the impression they are putting on a really bad act? Don't get me wrong, If I had the opportunity to win money by twisting and turning my body through 3 rounds, I'd be pretty pumped too. But these people preform like they hit the game winning shot, won the lottery and whooped someone in Street Fighter 4 all at the same time for 22 straight minutes! A little much...Final annoyance: 2 hosts. Necessary? No.
prometheus99 I can see why FOX keeps this crap on the air. The advertising revenue must surely be much more than the cheap set, cheap host, cheap audience. The premise is stupid: People must position themselves in such a way as to get through a hole in a moving piece of Styrofoam. If they do, they win money.Who watches this, I wonder? People bored and waiting for The Simpsons to start, I imagine. Still, this is an example of an increasingly creatively-bankrupt Television programming industry. I just hope they cancel it and put reruns back in its spot. I'd rather watch a rerun of any of Fox's animated programs.
lassitude Remember the "physical challenges" from Double Dare? Hole in the Wall reminds me a lot of those, and it's always fun to watch for the same reasons it was fun to watch Double Dare, or GUTS.Usually I hate game-shows, as they're invariably boring to me, but Hole in the Wall is just fast enough to keep from getting old too fast. It's always fun to see if a giant contestant will make it through, or if a tiny one will get swept into the pool by the wall. But I guess if you're determined to be angry about life in general, you won't have much fun watching. Too bad, because I'd play the game every day if I could.
