JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Audience Reviews

Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
SeeQuant Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
Orla Zuniga It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
confish-50939 The manga is better than the anime. Tell the people. Part 6 sucks.
spruceclaw Part 1 was not great. It was still a good show all in all, and very entertaining. It only picks up from part 1, as part 2 is simply amazing. Part 3 is rough around the edges and stands are not my favourite concept but part 4 managed to make them amazing. They were more creative and had much more interesting stands. I love this series and eagerly await the part 5 anime, and is without a doubt my favourite anime of all time.
ServicePlot JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been a ride for me. I got into it, because of it's massive Impact on the anime community as a whole and how it bends the rules of traditional anime and makes me laugh and sob at the drop of a checkered hat. Stories in traditional "shonen" or "for boys" anime fall into obvious tropes that JoJo does not. Normal anime will follow a main character (mostly male) trying to solve a problem through fights. JoJo follows that guideline with some major improvements. When following one main character you run into the problem of the story becoming boring or the main character becoming so overpower that they seem not likable because they run out of the faults that make them human. JoJo switches off the baton of the main focus of the story with it not being about one Joestar, but a family of Joestars. Each Joestar has one problem to solve and a loads of amazing support characters that make this a lovable and amazing series pretty much perfect for me. that being said, I know this show is far from perfect with it's many plot holes and unfinished stories, and lets not talk about the way far away things look in the anime, but in my eyes this story of a family overcoming trials and tribulations is just enough for me to call it my favorite piece of fiction.
atehsin This anime certainly lives up to the bizarreness of its title. So the show from Part 1 to 3revolves around multiple generations of a family called the Joestars fighting various supernatural threats.Firstly the art is worthy of praise a semi realistic semi exaggerated style that's rarely seen in anime. The animation is quite standard up to part two but begins flowing with energy from part three. The story is quite straightforward about strong guys fighting monsters. This predictability certainly weighs down part 1 but that contains a character arc and an unexpected ending to push it above most Shounen.Part 2 onwards the techniques and strategy used in a fight are so creative and bizarre you are guaranteed to be entertained. The humour always hits well which is rare for a Shounen and the characters reactions are a joy to watch. The characters themselves are never bad throughout the series but it's only after Part 1 where they truly shine.A 9/10 in my opinion for a good but not great start but an otherwise fantastic series.Definitely check it out.
