Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Crwthod A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.
Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Rade Martinovic It is funny that large majority of the reviews here were written after the first episode. This is a TV show that after the second episode takes so many turns that your head spins. It really has to be binged in order to be fully appreciated. Only after knowing what happened later you can truly understand what happened in the first two episodes and why people behaved like they did.The ending was shocking to me, I did not see it coming and I wonder what really happened. For those who say that men were portrayed like the villains - Laura eventually goes on a date with some other guy who seems normal and likable. The supporting cast is definitely not "the stock" kind. Every actor took what was given to him and gave his best. If this show is really planned for another season I am really looking forward to it.
Daphne635 In episode 3 I became disappointed that 1) she didn't know how to block unwanted callers on her phone which is the easiest thing to do and something I do every day; and, 2) she didn't know that when a high school aged girl is pregnant by an adult male- you call the police not the guy. Never mind the extraneous circumstances. I was also disappointed in the whole social media choice in the earlier episode. Tended to point towards a mentally ill motive of notoriety. But I have to.note that I'm equally as disappointed by the evil comments about rape on this page. There is very little incentive for a woman to falsely accuse anyone of rape. This is why the police and the law tend to believe women who make these allegations. Unless there's money involved (which there wouldn't be) or severe mental illness (not the kind predators always bestow on women whom they've preyed upon), there is only further damage to come from the accusation for the victim. It's disgusting that we're still dealing with this garbage. In fact, the majority of rapes still go unreported thanks to people like those on this page. I'm disgusted all the way around.
Kris Gray I had high expectations that for once the woman would be the bad guy and the man the victim. Too much to hope for, men are constantly being portrayed as the bad guy, rapist, paedophile, wife beater, bully, thug etc, etc or a weak individual subjugated by his wife or girlfriend. As someone else has pointed out Andrew is neither desperate nor stupid, he wouldn't have needed to rape when Laura was obviously attracted to him and if they didn't have sex that night, they would have eventually. He also wouldn't have come on to DI Harman whether he was guilty or not, again not that stupid. He's a good looking intelligent man and I'm sorry but it just doesn't gel. The only reason for this drama is to beat men once again, written I note by men who probably want to waive their feminist flag to show how modern they are. On top of that we have all the other clichés, black and white couple, female DI with wizened old male sidekick oh and of course the DI is a lesbian, I mean how many more clichés can they cram into it? Will Andrew's son be gay? Stupid, stupid, stupid, banal and unbelievable, I'm surprised an actor of Ioan Gruffudd's calibre agreed to be involved, he hardly needs the work or the money. Danny Webb, once again, is the best thing in it.This is an update to my previous review having now had to endure the final 2 episodes, my wife enjoyed it. So skipping past the absurd part when Laura kidnaps Andrew and he doesn't make a complaint even when the lesbian detective turns up and he has the evidence still inside him. On to the last episode when she steals his phone, he knows it's gone and may have something incriminating on it but does nothing to cover his tracks. The entire premise of this series is let's, yet again, beat the male population. I feel sorry for young women who watch this being led to believe that this is how all men act. The ending was unclear although I suspect it was the lesbian detective's lover who did it.What really frightens me is, according to IMDb, there is a second series planned. Will it address the situation and have the woman as the liar, shouting rape falsely? As if!
Cate Archer I can not understand all the bad reviews, I have enjoyed all four episodes very much. The story is good, the twists are unexpected and good, the acting is good, the cinematography is good..What else do people want? Nudity?graphic violence? sex scenes? No, there is none, but there are clever twists, interesting characters, and a story that unfolds revealing things that make you say Wow that was good!
