Info

Married is a half hour comedy about being miserably in love. Russ and Lina Bowman can barely remember what life was like before kids, debt, and suburbia rained on their romance -- but every once in a while, in between the arguments about their declining sex life and who's driving carpool, they are reminded what drew them together in the first place -- they're best friends. The show also features Russ and Lina's friend AJ, who is recently divorced and pretending he's over his wife, and their other friend Jess, who is married to a much older man who can't keep up with her.

Married Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
TinsHeadline Touches You
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
paulzie55 Not every comedy show is going to be liked by everybody, but Married overall is a smart comedy with great timing. Nat Faxon and Judy Greer play a married couple with three kids. They are pretty much the average family, trying to make ends meet while dealing with life issues in a comical sort of way. Faxon and Greer have great timing and they play great off each other. Some episodes are funnier than others and a little too silly, but overall, I always get at least one or more decent laughs in each episode, and I hardly ever laugh watching most comedies. The show covers all aspects of marriage, including parenting and friends. The show has a dark, twisted sort of humor, but it also conveys the right message as well. After the first episode, it grows on you. I'm very happy they made a second season. The show to me is a mix of National Lampoons(earlier years) and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Besides this show, the only other comedy worth watching these days is Silicon Valley.
maros612 This TV show stands out in multiple fields. First of all, it's very well written, unpredictable, entertaining and down to earth. It beats all the popular charlie sheen's "1 + a half men" and the like, because it's not stationery and has perfected characters played by talented and interesting actors. I really hope the series will continue. What a delightful and pleasant series. I highly recommend it. You will love the characters from the first episode and I'm sure you will realize you recognize the similarity of at least one of the characters with someone you know. I need one line to make this long enough. You will not regret watching this show.
mrjeremy88 FX comedies have always been very hit or miss for me. Shows like "The League", "Always Sunny in Philadelphia", and "Louie" are all quirky in their own way and make for some great television. "Married" however leans more towards the mediocre list with shows like "Saint George" and "Anger Management". Nat Faxon and Judy Greer are the likable couple that the show revolves around, along with some oddball friend characters that only seem to exist to help fill up the 30 minute program. The weekly plot lines produce a few laughs you wouldn't see on network TV since FX can get away with some risky material, but overall each episode feels kind of empty and sporadic. Even the music score makes the show feel slow and depressing. I would be surprised if their was a 2nd season since there's nothing to keep most viewers interested in this show unfortunately.
Dr_Sagan First of all I must tell you that I root against any series with a generic title, like "Mom", "Dads" etc. so I was negatively biased against "Married" from the start. Plus Nat Faxon and Judy Greer are not among my favorite actors on TV right now.The show starts poorly in my opinion. There is a constant and without purpose movement of the camera, shooting at a married couple in its bed just before they fall to sleep. Why the camera moves like that is beyond me. Maybe the director wanted the audience to feel motion sickness, otherwise the movement is totally unrealistic and unjustified for the scene. The direction of photography also tries to give a documentar-ish feeling with (bad) natural lighting and shots that follow a person behind its back.Anyway, the show is (again) about a dysfunctional (married) couple with 3 little daughters. The man has these friends, who meets in a ...bar (what a surprise!) and trusts them with his most personal secrets and always gets the most inappropriate advices in return. In the pilot, the plot is the definition of SitCom (situation comedy). Something (no spoilers!) that is meant for someone, gets in the hands of someone else, and the reluctant "hero" solves the problem with the usual lies and naive manipulation. The main problem of the show is that it doesn't have anything to attract viewers. From the title, to the actors, to the script. And it's not really funny unless you find Nat Faxon's face funny, who monopolizes the screen in the pilot. It's easy to imagine how the next episodes will go from here, and what other ordeals the couple will have to deal with. The truth is though, I can't find any worth mentioning reason to watch the next episode.Overall: Sub Par, not recommended.UPDATE: After seeing the 2nd episode I changed my vote from 3 to 1.I always give a 2nd (and maybe even a 3rd) chance to a show, to make itself better or at least more enjoyable. So I did with this one.Honestly I didn't smile once. For a true laugh don't even think about it. The 2nd episode is even worst. This show goes nowhere. There is no humor in it and the situations (it's a SitCom) are far from interesting. As I'm reading the viewers dropped from 1.2 mil. to 0.8 I guess we are talking for a 0.3 to the 3rd one and a soon to be follow cancellation.I don't know what the guys who make shows like these were thinking.Overall: Avoid.
