Marvel's Inhumans Audience Reviews

Cubussoli Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Vornigold So, Inhumans has the worst writing I've ever experienced. I say "experienced" because it was mindblowing how bad it actually got. Take a look at those 8 writers listed if you want to know who shouldn't have a job. I will refer to them as "The 8 Hacks." I see some people actually defending this show and that doesn't surprise me. A couple decades of medicated 1st worlders wouldn't know logic if it bit them on the face. Anyways, let the trashing begin. I guess the only writers who don't find it challenging to write stories around super-powered beings are Dungeon Masters writing D&D campaigns for their friends. The first thing these 8 hacks did was remove all the powers of every main character to make them more manageable. When you don't have a shred of talent or research under your belt, you gotta do somethin', right? I'm not talking about comic research; I'm talkin' about normal stuff like, say, how many guards are in a prison or how small Hawaii actually is. So, Black Bolt could have ended the entire plotline the 8 hacks threw together in the first episode. Instead, he uses his power twice in all of the first (and hopefully the last) season. He accidentally burped and blew a cop car down the street. The other time he spoke two words and barely messed up a building entrance. One word from the comic's version of Black Bolt could take out all of Attilan, really. So, that's one pesky power taken away so the writers could find their dull, little comfort zone. He acts like Forest Gump visits Earth, but don't worry; every character's established personality/motives change oooover and over again. The 8 hacks take away Medusa's power immediately. In a hilarious slow-motion sequence, Maximus shaves Medusa's head with some Earth clippers. Even better, some Enya is playing in the background as Maximus tries to look like he's aggressively cutting hair. This is supposed to have impact on the audience... and it totally fails at that. Karnak, the guy who's power it is to not (ever) make mistakes, loses his power by falling off a cliff face he was carefully climbing down. I thought his power was to never make mistakes! Anyways, he fell and hit his head which made him capable of making mistakes. Thank god for that! How else could the 8 hacks manage to write around his ability?Crystal, the girl who could rule Earth in a day flat with her power to control all of the elements, just does a couple magic tricks here an' there. Oh, she also tells Lockjaw where to teleport.Gorgon get's to keep his lame stomping power. So does everyone else because the leftover super people don't challenge the capabilities of the 8 hacks.Since I don't want to waste too much time, I'm going to quickly list some ignorant writing feats of the 8 hacks:All characters make insta-friends inside a week that they just cannot live without! Sacrifices and love stories galore.Lockjaw forgets how to use his power.Black Bolt has a moon-wristphone as a practical joke, I guess. Not once does he find a keyboard to bypass Medusa's sole purpose as the loud-mouth of Black Bolt.Gorgon walks into the ocean and almost drowns for no good reason and some surfers save him. Surfers who transform into hardened ex-soldiers to help the 8 hacks get from point A to point B, might I add.Black Bolt and some old hawaiian escape a prison with a dozen guards and a couple dozen prisoners. One guard is on the perimeter fence post. Medusa just kicks him in the nuts and walks right in.Maximus, a genetic inhuman, goes through terragenesis and becomes a human. Explain THAT, mister SCIentist! His whole involvement in the story is just the hackiest the 8 hacks could get.Every Royal and court tactician, every cop and every soldier, every weed dealer and every grower, every single profession outside a coffee clerk is so poorly researched and written for that it beggars belief. I could go on, but I can only type so fast. To waste more time trying to enjoy this dismal Marvel offering would be too much. The only enjoyment I can derive from it is this review. I loved trashing this doomed show.
jlogan-24028 I can't decide if it is the acting, the script, or the directing that hurts this show. Lots of whiney characters on purpose, I assume... The King's "gift" is a Killer Voice so he can't speak, the Queen is a joke but I'm thankful they cut her hair because it hindered her acting, & the Antagonist brother is a greasy little guy - which is the only thing that truly makes sense when it comes to the Royal Family. But, I do like the special effects... Also, I trust Stan Lee to have a point for all of these obnoxious characters. I mentally make fun of them thru the entire show... making the annoying characters fun while I wait for whatever Stan has planned. Oddly, I don't watch Reality TV because they are all annoying but I know THIS show WILL get better!
riquigley Not being content with making the worst of the Netflix Marvel entries with Iron Fist, Scott Buck has soared to new heights by vomiting into this world the worst of the Marvel cinematic adaptations since Marvel first started producing movies and television in 2008.Everything that could be ruined in this endeavor was ruined. Not a single ounce of redemption is to be found - from the absurd double-exposure flashback, to the dated 80s fight scenes, to the predictable and dull writing, to the misplaced and random techno music. My God, even the opening title sequence is amateurish and bland. I suffered through all 8 episodes of this scrap-pile out of sheer willpower and determination. After all, I had seen every Marvel movie multiple times, and every Marvel television show from Daredevil to Defenders, from Agent Carter to the most recent Runaways; there was no way I was going to let Inhumans break me, though it nearly did. From the beginning, I had no investment in any of the characters. Everyone is rude, arrogant, unsympathetic, or, at best, just boring. This attitude didn't improve at all at any moment over the course of the series, and at no time did any character make a decision that could be construed as smart. Apparently the superior Inhuman gene comes with the drawback of being a complete idiot. 10-year-olds lost in the woods would make better decisions than these characters. Even if they were blind. Suffering from hypothermia. Near death. And on fire. The fact that the heroes managed to stumble toward any kind of resolution is only a product of having been up against the dumbest, least threatening villain in all of cinematic history. How bad does the writing and directing have to be to make Ramsay Bolton seem like a lost, hopeless puppy.Marvel's Inhumans makes me sad. It represents lost time, lost money, and a lost opportunity. I hope there's an epilogue - perhaps released as a webisode - in the near future. Something that wraps up any loose ends, like having a giant meteor streak through the sky and wipe out everything and every character left. Too bad I can never wipe out the memory of having seen the show in the first place.
andreaskeitaro I'm watching this because of Crystal, "Ramsay Bolton" (your writing make him looks so bad at acting), and only 8 episodes, THANK GOD it's only 8, please just stop, the story is super lame and without any strong character or background. as for Ramsay Bolton, please just step away from this TV series, it makes your reputation like a waterfall. ah, 1 more thing, i think black bolt is the bad person, i personally hoping that maximus is the king.
