Real Rob Audience Reviews

Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Dave Meccariello Rob is quirky and self depricatingly funny as always Patricia is whip smart, hilarious and has the best "spousal evil eye"Hidden gem of a show. Though the name should be "real Rob...sort of", as it's not totally real lolDefinitely worth the watch (especially if you have have a Latina in your life lol)
kmckercher-1 I have recently cut the cord and Netflix is one big reason. Saying that, this awful pretense of a comedy, and "The Ranch", blindsided me when I tried to watch them. The laugh-track on "The Ranch" was so grinding that it made me feel I was watching an even worse "American Horror Story" than THAT show has been lately. But "Real Rob" has robbed me of some of my love of Netflix. Why do so many bad actors, who were born has-beens, think that shows about them are relevant and funny. "Curb your Enthusiasm", this last season, was a ghastly parody of it's original run, but made "Real Rob" seem like a failed pilot that was picked up to fill a late evening time slot opposite "Last Man on Earth", forcing the viewer to just go to bed. You wouldn't need a sleeping pill unless you watched one of them. Then you might take a lot of sleeping pills in despair. Bad "acting", poor writing and a lot of nothing adds up to an unwatchable bore fest. Why, Netflix, why is this one of your shows?
belgarion-33222 I wasn't sure what to expect from this series. "Rob" was a bit of a letdown, but I generally enjoy Mr. Schneider's work. I feel with the artistic freedom Mr. Schneider enjoys with this show, he has created a fine piece of entertainment that truly highlights some of the issues facing Hollywood celebrities (and sometimes we lesser beings;) Celebrity privilege, spousal jealousy, family leeches, balancing work and family; Real Rob examines these and other issues with an outrageous comedic eye that has my wife and I laughing out loud every episode.Mr. Schneider and Mr. Lissow are believable and genuine. Every episode I wonder what new disaster they are going to get into. Great acting, excellent writing.I felt the first couple episodes were somewhat weak. Maybe it was the inevitability of the audience getting to know the characters, but I felt something was missing that was picked up in later episodes. So if you find yourself wanting to turn off the pilot halfway through, try to give it a few more episodes before deciding. Maybe the parodies in the characters were overdone and the mechanics of the relationships not obvious enough in the pilot. When I first watched it, I found myself wondering again and again why Rob didn't just fire Jamie and get a real assistant. The answer is obvious by ~episode 3, but I did suffer that initial confusion.I highly recommend Real Rob to anyone looking for a light comedy that underscores some real issues Hollywood celebrities face. I look forward to another season, and hopefully many more.
zspyk007 I am a big Rob Schneider fan, always have been. This show is a lot different from his movies, and I imagine there is a grain of truth in a lot of what he says and does. His wife is stunningly beautiful and has a great personality, the dynamic between him and his friend/employee is funny and I LOVED the stalker. I found the first episodes to be very rough and of poorer quality than the rest. Once you get through them the show really starts to take off, and by the last few episodes I was on the floor laughing. I felt the show did a good job of showing both the positives and negatives of being famous and living in LA, something most of us will never get to experience. I really hope this returns for another season and thanks for the laughs!
