Relic Hunter Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Raetsonwe Redundant and unnecessary.
Pluskylang Great Film overall
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
iam_azmaveth I think like others have said this show is a copy of many of the Indiana Jones ideas. I don't know about copying a computer game though maybe we should say that Tomb Raider is also a Copy of Indiana Jones but with a woman playing the lead role to avoid being called a knock off.I don't analyze the shows I watch too much for historical accuracy as this is a low budget TV show and not a documentary. The corn thing that one of the commenter's wrote about is a funny one. But not too inaccurate as Corn was a name used by Europeans during the Time of the vikings to refer to Grains and is Anglo-Saxon in origin. It was an American thing to refer to Maize as Corn. SO their use of the Word Corn is correct but maybe confused the writers of that particular episode
morlvera Unfortunately not one of the "so bad that it's good" series, just plain so bad that it's bad. Every Lara Croft/Indy Jones cliché in the book thrown at exotic locations (I'm guessing back lot of the studios or a 20 mile radius) and insular representations of other peoples that would have the natives cringing in disbelief.Tia Carrere could shatter any plank of wood with one kick - but the plank would always come away with the acting honors. Hugh Grant should sue for the foppish buffoon "Nigel" character that's been based on his every mannerism, they've even stolen his hair-style.(I've often wondered why we can only see Brit's as evil geniuses or diffident cowards - isn't it time we updated these unpleasant representations given that they're our only effective allies these days? We're way nicer in our cultural cliché's to the French than we are to the Brit's. Something wrong there!)I know it's a Canadian production (probably with US co-production money) and it's supposed to be pure Bubble-gum but it's depressing that every show directed at a US audience has to reinforce every asinine cliché about other cultures for the benefit of the most bigoted hick.
vickie Relic hunter is hilarious and tottally entertaining. The sexual frustration between sydney and nigel is hilarious and makes it very funny to watch. It may not be a multi million dollar program but it is definately worth seeing. I have spent over a hundred quid on relic hunter DVD's and i will buy more as they come out. top class entertainment!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr_Garak Relic Hunter is sort of a cross between Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider, Tia Carrere is the "Dr Jones" character of the series who goes on adventures to solver mysteries, find ancient relics, of course she runs into the occasional rival relic hunter and normally ends up fighting herself and her colleges out of dangerous situations. Not a bad show, certainly better than some of the shows that currently air on TV these days.
