Konterr Brilliant and touching
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
StreamingEagle ..it fades away toward the end. The show has a good premise but it drifts to other areas that really don't affect the main plot. The teacher's affair allegations? What was the point since we got no idea how it started and what it had to do with anything. The murder victim was allegedly wasted but, in recounting the final confrontation, he seemed anything but. That being the case, how did he get bested by a much smaller woman? Also, the main killer starts fires and kills others but hesitates killing the only other people who know his secret? Not likely. The only character I really liked was Pete who was the glue for the whole show. In all, it was disappointing.
mr-troisi Ok, if there are not enough or too many Michael C. Hall haters on here, I want to talk about the story arc. This show feels like it could have written well and fine in a scaled-down, 2 part miniseries, because after episode 7 or 8 I was snoring. It was very engaging for the first two episodes, and after that it got so dull that I'm on my third try just trying to get to the finale. I hate the fact that the creator brought Michale C. Hall and his cronies to try to stretch a short film into a series. If this was a ~90 min thrill ride, cut BETTER (so many slow and boring scenes), and fleshed the main players out better, I'd say 9/10. That said, they pitched this as an eight-part, slowwwwww miniseries that went from cool to hot in the uptake, but then a changeup outside that no one's gonna swing for. Beyond that, I think all of the characters are great. If you're a fan of Mike C. Watch it. But I think who really shines through all of this is his good friend, (No name, no spoilers) who takes up all of the screen. Whenever he's back, I thought, Yay! He's back... But how's he gonna help solve crime.Boring murder mystery. I was psyched for this, but kinda let down. But if you love getting roped into a Netflix Series, and are up at 2am just trying to stomach the last episode. this one's for you...7/10
markmcblain Michael C. Hall with the worst English accent since Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. This does not bode well. Everything has been thrown into this leftover soup of a story. No spoilers suffice to say no cliche is left out. The acting is wooden. I had splinters after the first few episodes. I stuck with it. It did improve towards the conclusion. Life's too short. There are so many good things on Netflix. This isn't one of them. Avoid.
brockleyavenue I love British shows and constantly on the search for new ones coming up and rarely am I not disappointed. Michael C Hall is one of the main leads, and am an avid fan of his from his Dexter days, and it was good to see him another role, that he pulled off so well. The show was full of suspense, with flash backs to explain events, and really, this was a binge watch....it was long enough, and even then you wished there was more. Perfect. Excellent acting, directing and editing. Binge to Unhinge!
