Shut Eye Audience Reviews

PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
brittanydiane Didn't know what to think about the show with the first 3 episodes of season 1, but after that it starts to get really good in my opinion. It's a very underrated show that deserves some attention. I'm really hoping that season 3 is in the works. It is a very original show that has very cliffhanger endings to the season that make you wonder what's going to happen next. Keeps you coming back to watch the next episode.
Bryan Tull I thought the first season was mediocre but I watched it all anyway, mostly due to Donovan; Burn Notice made me a fan. Season 2 starts and the recap doesn't do much in helping me remember what happened in season 1 but it didn't seem to matter as I'm having no issues following season 2. Season 2 bumped my score from a 4 to a 7.
escctrlshift I'm frankly surprised -- seven episodes of viewing into the first season -- that I like this show as much as I do. It's a great binge watch for starters. It's not hard to keep track of the action. But the themes and characters that have emerged so far are intriguing -- and not, for the most part, very stereotypical. This is a very talented, and very interesting-looking, cast. The Roma-themed plot provides an excellent super-text for the main protagonist's unfolding experience of his extraordinary gift. The evil characters -- especially Isabella Rossellini's -- are only partial foils, and hers may yet be not as nasty as she looks. Every character, even the ostensible 'saint' among them, has some damning faults, not a few of them extremely damning. So altogether, this makes for great drama, interesting synchromagic (invoked, no doubt, with some backroom help from LA's Roma community), and powerful food for thought, for anyone who is 'gifted' or living with a spooky, or otherwise scrambled, brain.
kristataylor-44436 I waited for this show to come out after seeing some advertisements. I thought it was going to be awesome. However, after the first episode was only slightly interesting, and the second was a little less interesting, and then I turned into a mind reader myself and could have practically written the show myself. Overall it was highly predictable, the characters were shady and tragically stupid, and most of the "shock value" was shocking, but not for the right reasons. Its an okay show to put in the background and just pass your time with. Wouldn't recommend more time put into it that that.Shut eye is basically this giant fudge pile of wanting to be other shows, but with psychics instead.
