Info

Soccer AM is a British Saturday-morning football-based comedy/talk show, predominantly based around the Premier League. Originally presented by Jane Hoffen, Gary Stevens and Russ Williams, they lasted just a year before Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy replaced them, where Lovejoy served for over a decade. He has since been replaced by Andy Goldstein and, more recently, Max Rushden. The show has been aired on Sky Sports 2 each Saturday morning of the football season since 1995 from 7:00am or 9:00am to noon originally and currently between 10:00am and 12:00pm. In early 2009, the 500th episode was broadcast. Although the show is filmed live from 2010 it has been broadcast on a momentary delay due to bad language and/or inappropriate content from certain guests. The show's current sponsor is Procter & Gamble through their Head & Shoulders brand. The show was previously sponsored by Frijj, a brand of milkshake, after Dairy Crest signed a £2 million sponsorship deal. Parts of the show have remained since the beginning, whilst new items have been introduced each season. In that respect, it is almost the same every week, the difference being new football footage and comedy skits. Every week sees a new group of celebrity guests, generally featuring at least one footballer who is free on the Saturday, and a mix of musicians, TV personalities, and other sportsmen.

Soccer AM Audience Reviews

Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
liam thomas Soccer am is the only reason i get up early on a Saturday morning. I have been watching it since the first series and have enjoyed every episode. It's had a hand at bringing me up. the jokes although repeat never age and the guest are always fresh, funny and a list. The music on the show is so new that it has even made bands famous, most noticeably would be the kaiser chiefs. It is also good if you are new to football i was 12 when i first watched it and didn't know anything about football but by the end of the first series i knew stuff that my mates didn't even know. The truth is if this show ever left i wouldn't have purpose to get up at 9 am on a Saturday. It is brilliant would recommend it to anyone weather they are a football fan or not.
wozzasfc This has been going for over 10 years now, and is still the one and only football show that counts. Tim and Helen have the best rapport you could ever see with their constant sniping at one another's football team, but never being offencive.I try to catch this show every weekend, and if you are a soccer fan, you should too. There are guest musicians, great running series' within the show, any star footballer that is injured will normally be guesting that week, and then there's the comedy which is non-stop and very slapstick at times. If you are not a fan of football, there are worse places than this to try and become a fan. If you are a fan of football, you will watch this religiously. Helen is really fit too which definitely adds the appeal for the male audience. Give it a go...you might like it!!!
slimm I Watch This show every single week and have done for about 5 years and the humour gets better and better every week, Tim is just hilarious and some of the segments are really good and interesting it is a must see show for anyone who watches football especially if your a chelsea supporter
Mufcjp This is the best Tv show around for football. Showing all the goals from all the games in England, plus goals from other countries such as Germany, Italy and Spain. Funny and embarrassing moments that viewers have spotted at football grounds. The show is non stop funny, and if you like football (soccer for our American friends) then I strongly suggest you watch this show.
