watf-71144 The Fall first series is excellent and I would say the ending is pretty good, but everything in between is just dire. I watched the show on Netflix so had the whole 4 series available. By the second episode of series two to basically the last episode of Series four I was just watching it with a view to getting it over and done with. I understand that it is important to build up characters and plots slowly and I am happy when this happens but in The Fall its like they have to much film time and too little plot. Additional themes are added that make no sense and then disappear. By series 4, I was basically on my phone or computer with the tv in the background.

Nigel Hay This is a series that seams to drag events to great lengths in order to fill the episodes. Example the medical procedures that keep going on and on. Gillian Anderson's acting in this doesn't help either for some reason. She was superb in the XFiles but her character in this is weird. As for the procedures carried out by the police it's really way out there. I mean who takes a serial killer to an unknown location and stands him outside with no police cover so an outsider can literally walk up to him. That's sloppy story telling. If you want to see real police in action I recommend watching Line of Duty which is absolutely fantastic and way better than this.

zachmendoza Nothing to do with the show itself but Gillian Anderson speexh is so annoying! I almost want to turn it off but J can't stop watching at the same time. Usually I don't watch films withthese accents but this one I want to watch to the end. If only "scully" would review the way she talks the show would be more bearable to watch for me lol
