Look who’s making the news again! One of NY’s most beloved news anchors, Mike Henry (Michael J. Fox), put his career on hold to spend more time with his family and focus on his health after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. But now five years later, with the kids busy growing up and Mike growing restless, it just might be time for him to get back to work. Having never wanted Mike to leave in the first place, his old boss Harris Green jumped at the chance to get him back on TV. The trick, as it’s always been, was to make Mike think it was his idea. After several – okay, many - failed attempts, Mike’s family, anxious to see him out of the house, finally succeeded in getting him to “run into” Green. Now their plan is in motion. He’ll be back to juggling home, family, and career, just like the old days – only better.

The Michael J. Fox Show Audience Reviews

ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Ole Sandbaek Joergensen There are some good things but what worked in Spin City, talking to the camera, being the smart man amongst crazy side kicks and other stuff, well all that is here in a different sense but it isn't really working out.It got better after episode two, but the first two didn't really sell it and the next couple of episodes are better but it didn't really grow on me. It seems like they are trying to hard, and maybe that is what ruined it for me, I watched the first five episodes, but never got hooked.I think Michael is on his way back and you really can't notice much about his Parkinson, but he really needs to do something more weird and awesome then this.
parrishfamilynw I happen to think this is a great vehicle for both MJF and cast. Each character is well developed. The combination of the acknowledgment of reality and the presence of unrealistic situations make for several levels of humor. The youngest child retaliating for the parents cleaning his room and giving things to charity, by taking random things from the house and taking them to donate without the parents knowledge was one of my favorite bits. The Thanksgiving episode with Candice Bergen and Charles Grodin was both laugh aloud funny and made you cringe with family uncomfortableness we've all experienced. The final scene between Charles Grodin and MJF was heart wrenching. I hope to see more.
Blue Velvyt What has happened to the attention span of TV Viewers, when I was growing up networks never canceled a show before it even aired, or after just showing the pilot. Sad that some of you post things like "Sympathy Viewing" or "only watched 3 episodes" It is really sad to see people judge things so quickly these days. This generation of humans is so "Instant Gratification" oriented.Real shows need time to grow, to build upon their characters, to make cast changes, change writers, change story lines, etc The Walking Dead tripled it's numbers in the third season, prior to that it had no where near the numbers network shows pull, but it's on AMC, where they believe in their shows and let them air out longer then 3 episodes.MJF is amazing, always has been, I for one will be giving him and his show all the time it needs, he makes me laugh, unfortunately I think the network is giving him a "pity" season for his illness and will most likely be canceled for next season. For some reason THE U.S. can't stand to see old people or sick people, or worse, old sick people, we just put them on an iceberg and send them out to sea. I live in the health care system, I know what I have seen and I have seen it more often then not. However, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, for instance I can't stand the Big Bang Theory, it is juvenile and silly, yet everyone else I know seems to love it.Am I biased, perhaps, I suffer an auto immune disease, have been bed ridden now for 3 years with deadly bacterial infections, watching MJF do his thing once again despite his illness gives me hope, perhaps some shows are all about perspective. No I don't simply support the show because he suffers an illness. If this show isn't successful, then I hope he gets one that is, in the mean time I will have Michaels back and support his show fully, not because he is sick, because I love watching him and the show makes me laugh.Just my opinion.
martharaysgirl the show is depressing, it's not funny, easy for Fox to make fun of Parkinson's when he's a multi millionaire and making 2 million dollars per episode, not funny for the average Joe with Parkinson's lame show will be cancelled soon! tries to do too much all at once no chemistry between lead actors annoying cast members. the aunt, eldest son and daughter are annoying and not great actors. Fox garbles his dialogue. the twenty minute episodes are a waste of time. the subject matter is boring. it is supposed to be a comedy but does not deliver any laugh out loud. the series was too hyped up and does not live up to the Fox returns hype. the show will probably just run this year and then fade to black. This will be like Fox's other failed series Hench at Home that not many people know about!
