The Weekenders Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Floated2 Disneys the Weekenders is definitely one of the best disneys shows of alltime, its very fun and amusing to watch. Im a fan of Disney and their animated shows and this is one of their best. Its one of my favorites. This show is very unique and not like other Disney shows. In the weekenders, the kids actually change their clothes unlike other shows where there pretty much never do that. And this show has funny moments and is just interesting to watch. Weekenders is much better than Recess. In Recess, the characters are annoying but in Weekenders, there not annoying and realistic. Tish and Carver can be annoying at sometimes but other than that this show is sick.
the_moody_youngest Top 5 reasons why I like it5.It is totally original. 4.It has sarcastic, funny, and real humor. 3.It is realistic. 2.It has great characters. 1.The only cartoon where they don't where the same clothes everyday! I love this show for all those reasons and many more. It is one of the best shows on TV because it is definitely realistic and it is actually funny unlike a lot of other comedy shows. Unfunny shows like Unfabulous, and Lloyd in Space. This one is actually funny and not clichéd at all.Another reason why I love this show is of course because of the characters! Tino Tonitini is the leader(basically of the group) he sarcastic but has a very good heart. His mom always gets him to confess his problems after trying to feed him another one of her gross dinners. Carver Descartes is the shoe loving one of the group who will do anything to be popular. He has a head shaped like a pineapple and can be a little bit of a hypochondriac sometimes. Lor McQuarrie is the tomboy of the group. She loves basketball, pizza, skateboarding, and lives in a house of 15 brothers and a dad.She is quite a ditz and could care less about school. And finally, Tish is the smart one who's family comes from an unknown place they refer to as old country. Tish loves Shakespeare and all the artsy stuff Tino, Carver, and Lor hate!
bumble472 Before I talk about the show, I would just like to say to whoevercalled Tino a WASP that he is most certainly NOT WASPy at all. Also, for all of you who are comparing The Weekenders to Recess, this show is far better. Recess is, even though the characters arefunny and clever, an idiotic show where stupid TJ always saves theday. In The Weekenders, all of them solve the problem and thecharacters are equally clever and funny. Although the show is a tadstereotypical, it is still extremely enjoyable and will most certainlymake you laugh out loud. The theme song and beginning creditsare also very fun. All in all, this show is AWESOME and you shouldmost certainly watch it if you have cable. It is now on Monday-Fridayafternoons nestled between two ridiculously stupid shows (Lloydin Space and Disney's House of Mouse) at 3:00 Eastern Time onthe Disney Channel. It's so much fun for adults and kids alike andshould not be missed under any circumstances! I especially lovehow Tino's mom has the ability to analize everything, how the pizzaparlor is always changing names and themes, how there isalways a strange and disgusting food to be tasted at theanthropoligy museum, and the narrations by usually Tino butsometimes by others. Even though it can be corny at the end, thisshow is superb. As Tino would say, Later Days!
anitatanky This is a wonderful show that many adolescents and adults can relate to. For the adolescents, it is very entertaining. Some of the other comments I read suggest how unrealistic the show is. However, it is a cartoon meant for entertainment value. It is not supposed to to be a true replication of true to life things for the entire 30 minutes. But then again, the overall themes are realistic and things kids can relate to: Being drawn to a more popular crowd just to find out it was NOT all you'd thought it would be; changing a look to impress someone of the opposite sex just to have them be less interested in you; being a child of a single parent house hold; trying to find something "fun" to do that everyone in your group will enjoy; etc. Many adults are likely to find the show refreshing, especially if they still have some "kid" left in them. I personally look forward to getting up Saturday morning and curling up on my living room couch with a blanket to watch this, as well as other Disney cartoons (i.e. Recess, Lloyd in Space, Teacher's Pet)after a long work week. I only wish Pepper Ann and Doug still came on Saturday mornings. The show is not for everyone, especially some adults, as indicated by some of the other comments. But if you are still somewhat a kid at heart and are lucky enough to have the free time to watch this show, it is worth treating yourself to it. Later Days!!!
