Bordertown Audience Reviews

Greenes Please don't spend money on this.
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
gwynnearrington-83710 This show was wonderful. Hilarious. Well written. It is a tragedy that it only lasted one season.I don't understand why people choose to be so critical when it comes to cartoon television. If people are going to point fingers at any discrimination or racism that is in this show, why is Family Guy doing so well? What is the comparison? It's meant to be controversial. That's what comedic writers are aiming for. Come back, Bordertown! I'm sorry Fox gave up on you!
O2D FOX continues down it's path of disguising political propaganda as cartoons with this newest abortion of a TV show.I guess if you have a third world political agenda you need to push, putting it in cartoons is a good idea. Since no one with a brain watches cartoons. Sadly, being propaganda isn't even close to the worst thing about this show.Every joke that isn't about whites being stupid and racist is about pop culture. They don't even attempt to write real jokes. Even worse, it's extremely unoriginal. In the first five minutes of the second episode there were at least ten things they stole from other shows. This show is terrible and should never be seen by anyone.
bryce-wiseman94 The animated family sitcom has become a staple of cable television ever since the Simpsons found worldwide acclaim in the 90's. Its become the "Superhero movie" of TV: an over saturated genre with all too many duds. Bordertown, despite its clear political inspirations, is not one of those duds. All the characters you know from previous shows are here. The bumbling everyman dad, the stay at home mother, the overweight daughter, and the young child that seems too aware of whats happening around them for their age. The concepts are nothing new, but you'll be surprised how many of the jokes stick. The comedy ranges from juvenile humor to quick, intelligent quips that will go over your head if you aren't paying attention. If you do, you'll be rewarded with what is in my opinion some of the smartest animated comedy in years.Lets address the elephant in the room; Yes, it is very clear that this show is capitalizing off of the current political climate in the United States. This would certainly bother me a lot more if the virtues and shortcomings of both the left and right were not properly represented, but they are. You never get the sense that the writers lean one way or another, they simply recognize the faults in the system at both ends. It's refreshing to see this bipartisan approach when so much media in the past few years has had an obvious political agenda. No, it isn't perfect, but it's very much worth your time if you've found yourself looking for a smart show disguised as a cookie cutter dumb animated sitcom.
jv-39813 At first, I was skeptical. But, I had some faith as Seth Macfarlane made it. I was right, as the show was funny with many kinds of humor. My favorite character was Bud Buckwald, as he provided the most laughs, with Ernesto as 2nd. Although not suited for kids, I absolutely loved it. I watched all 13 episodes on Netflix. Hopefully they add another season soon. Also, I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did!
