2001 World Series Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Micitype Pretty Good
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Brian Sciro This World Series is amazing....And no, I'm a Yankees fan. Yes, Game 7 sucked because of the.....unmentionable hit that occurred from a certain Adrian Gonzalez.Still, I love this World Series because of the fact that the Yankees were determined to win the Series because of what happened on 9/11.This is a must watch for any D-Backs or Yankees fan, because it was baseball at it's biggest stage.P.S However that moron that said this is a must watch for Red Sox fans, keep in mind that this occurred RIGHT AFTER 9/11! Everyone wanted the Yankees to win because that would've put a small band-aid but a huge rise in hope for the U.S.But, I guess you stupid Red Sox fans can't comprehend LIBERTY or PROSPERITY....
FeverDog I was given this DVD for my birthday, and it's the biggest waste of a disc since Vanilla Ice's live CD. It sucks. It sucks! IT SUCKS!!!OK, sorry. Where EVER did that come from??Anyway, it's not a bad compilation, although not very loaded. Most of the big moments are included (but not Soriano's Game 7 dinger unfortunately), and, for me, it's cathartic to watch the celebration (since I was curled up on the floor in the fetal position for a half hour when it was live). But the highlights seem truncated. I was lucky enough to be recording Game 4 (I wasn't sitting by a television on Halloween night), and Tino's blast was block-rocking diesel nirvana for me. The play lasted a few minutes, with replays from every possible angle - Tino, then Kim, then Paulie, then Brenly, then each dugout, and of course a few replays of the ball's contact with the bat, trajectory, and landing. This moment is briefly included in the DVD, but, say, Spencer's and Bellinger's leaps over the dugout fence are not as prominent as originally broadcasted. Not that any of this matters much. I'm sure D'Back fans will appreciate more than I can; this Yankee fan admits that your team deserved the win, and has no ill will towards even Gonzo. (MAY HE BURN IN HELL!!! Oops, sorry again. Must control the rage, must control the rage...)Of course I could say something nasty, like "Diamondbacks fans better buy this video since it's the last time your team will win the WS in your lifetime," but I won't. Although the Dodgers are my NL West pic this year, I kinda like the D'Backs, but loyalty allows me to root for them only when they're playing the loathsome Braves, or if they're again on the world's stage (ha!) against the Red Sox (HA HA HA!!).Update 10/06: Humbled. So much has happened since I posted this. Red Sox win. White Sox win. And now the Tigers are UNSTOPPABLE! Strange times.
