Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Winifred The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
rbrb A while into this picture I shut it off. It claims to be a time travel picture about a student who can go back in time through the flooring in a hotel. However the film is totally ruined by: 1. a snails pace muddled storyline- 2. actors who are fake and unable to be convincing- 3. made worse by choosing the most unattractive and boring players imaginable- 4. sloppy and tedious direction and presentation.I ask myself who on earth produces this trash?!1/10.
johnathan smith I was pretty leery of the 7/10 rating as so many small films on IMDb get rated by cast/crew/family to push up their rating, but being a Sci-Fi fan I gave it a shot. I will say that this film takes a bit to get it's momentum. The acting, cinematography, and writing seem to get better as the movie goes along. The film started out with an amateurish feeling and ended feeling like a studio-produced movie. Here's a quick synopsis of the story: A man goes back in time to save his ex-girlfriend that died in a car crash, and ends up struggling with larger issues with larger consequences. All that being said, this was an excellent film. Great story. Everything about this movie works. The further the movie goes along the more you get sucked into it. Fantastic writing and a great execution. If you're a fan on science fiction, especially low budget science fiction like me, you'll enjoy this film.
sscheiber Like some of the other reviewers, I came upon this film completely by accident. And like one other reviewer, I planned to watch about 10 minutes and watch the rest another time. But the movie pulled me in and stayed with me until the end. It's a most unusual time-travel story. Although some of the concepts have been used before, this takes them in a different direction. It's a quiet, slow-paced movie, so if you're looking for quick action, you'll find it in short supply. But the atmosphere is as important as the plot progress and the dialog. It reminds me a little bit of David Gerrold's "The Man Who Folded Himself".If you're looking to settle down and watch something out of the ordinary -- and you're willing to give it your attention and accept its pacing -- you'll find it very rewarding.
allesichmache I truly wanted to like this movie. Especially after having seen some promising reviews/comments on youtube. But there are just too many for it to be considered worth the 80 minutes of one's life.If you are curious, head to youtube and look for this username there to see the list (provided he does not delete my comment) I came up with with just a bit of thought after viewing the thing. Spoilers are there as is a warning about them. Some highlights: 0) The acting is wooden and the delivery emotionless. The protagonist comes off as the most apathetic guy around. Even after the accident and discovery of what has transpired. He tries, I guess, refusing to play the game with the 'oracle of time', but it's still not a level of sadness I would expect at the realization of things. 1) Scene framing/staging/set issues. The framing of the bathroom scenes shows power cords for cameras/lighting equipment. The 'police' station is an obvious conference room and the hospital bed of his grandmother looks to be a card table with a sheet over it. 2) Other than the initial hospital scene with the 'police' telling him that he _shouldn't_ leave, all further scenes involving them and any locations/events involving them add nothing to the story. ...Thanks.
