A Very Potter Musical Audience Reviews

Micitype Pretty Good
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
actresslucy I love the story and the music. I fell in love with the friendship between Voldemort and quirrel. I watch this over and over again. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen this yet. I have become inspired by this show as it brought my confidence to perform back and I am currently working with an amazing theatre group in en-gland
Michayla Gussler I want to start out on a good note, some of the humor was funny from time to time and the music was good for a fan-made musical. But to be quite honest, I hated this musical deeply. Not only were the characters you were supposed to like in the story absolutely detestable, but the humor itself was overused and dry. I mean really, how many times do you want to hear Ron and Harry be complete jerks to Hermione and Ginny? On top of all that, the story was muddled and at times hard to follow. The only redeeming qualities of this musical, in my eyes, were the music and the enthusiasm of the actors, but past that, the play was horrible in humor and utterly impossible to enjoy. I wouldn't recommend it to Potter fans and families with children at all.
no-trust908 This play was just amazing. Great songs, amazing actors, and it was hilarious. I have all the songs on my kindle and just adore Starkid to no end. This was their first play and it's amazing how well it turned out. I loved Darren and was so happy to he could be in it. Joey was hilarious and Nick Lang's job writing it was beautiful. The IMDb page for this unfortunately needs work. I'm not sure how to do it myself but it needs a title picture and all the actors and actresses need pictures too. Also rated E? I love this show but it is no way kid friendly. It's pretty heavy on the swearing so I'd say pg 13. Overall its a hilarious parody that still keeps it's respect for the original source material. It is compelling, funny, and imaginative. I would encourage anyone who can to watch it.
Somebody Cool "A Very Potter Musical" is a brilliant fan-made musical starring Darren Criss as Harry Potter. This musical has something from 4 of the seven books, and has unexpected things from none of the books, such as Draco Malfoy (Lauren Lopez) "falling in love, falling in love, falling in love" with Hermione Granger (Bonnie Gruesen). This exceptional musical has friendship, hate, love, and, of course, laughter. This musical's songs definitely add that "something" to the story. Everyone who has ever heard of YouTube should look it up and watch it immediately.First, this musical has content from books 1,4,6, and 7. It has Quirrell (Brian Rosenthal) from the first book, the "House Cup" (Triwizard tournament) from book four, the death of Dumbledore (Dylan Saunders) from the sixth book, and the death of Voldemort (Joe Walker) from the final book. Also in the play, but not in the book, is the love life of Draco Malfoy, and the deepest, most inner feelings of the great Lord Voldemort. Any fan of Cedric Diggory (Tyler Brunsman) or Severus Snape (Joe Moses) should watch this play, seeing as they featured in the play more than in the books. Also, this musical features many emotions. The love and hate Ron Weasley (Joey Ritcher) feels for Hermione Granger is just one thing to consider. The friendship between Voldemort and Quirrell also comes to mind when thinking along those lines. While watching this musical, it's very likely that you will burst into spontaneous bursts of laughter. This musical also highlights the love between Ginny Weasley (Jaime Lyn Beatty) and Harry. With many emotions of many people included, this musical is fantastic. However, If you're the kind of person that gets mad at movies for being inaccurate, then you may not like this. Nevertheless, if you give this musical a chance, you will soon realize that all of the material added is there for your benefit. Or, at least, your laughter. This musical should definitely be considered as "Super-Mega-Foxy-Awesome-Hot," and I hope you are a Zefron fan, because most of the characters in this musical certainty are.Obviously, this is a musical. And what does a musical have? Songs, of course! From "Gettin' Back to Hogwarts" to "Voldemort is Going' down", each song tells a story. Harry Potter, when he feels he's completely alone, his friends come to tell him that he's "Not Alone". When Dumbledore dies, Harry sings "Missing You". Draco Malfoy sings about his love for Pigfarts in "Pigfarts, Pigfarts" , a song none of the characters want to hear. In conclusion, all Harry Potter fans should watch this. After that, watch the sequels. Then, tell your friends. You thought the wonders of Harry Potter were over? Well, they're not. Every song has a meaning, so listen closely to the lyrics.
