Raped. Disemboweled. Nearly decapitated. Dumped on the outskirts of a nature reserve, dead - or so they thought. She needed a hero that night, so that's what she became. This is Alison's tale. A tale of monsters, miracles and hope.

Alison Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
dwayne-in-canon I'm a paramedic so I may look at this differently than some. I can't imagine any way that her body survived this attack, but even beyond that, if you can believe it, her spirit survived, and that is nothing short of a miracle. It's very graphic, so if you are triggered, or delicate to such things you should probably pass it by. But my life is much better because I've seen this movie.I've seen some criticize the way that it's presented. I personally think that it's perfect in every way.I'm willing to bet that you've never heard a story like this before, and I'll bet dollars to donuts that you never will again. It's that incredible.
chokdee1 What a story of belief and hanging on even at your lowest point. Excellent film!
riseagainst85 As a story, this is a great title. I could not even begin to imagine what this woman went through, she is a very powerful / empowering young lady. As a documentary this was made very poorly. Didn't care for how the story was told or the video game graphics.
Belinda May Blakeman I heard Alison live many years ago when she was in Empangeni doing a talk, what an incredible story, I purchased the book and was hooked, every time I need some inspiration I go back to the book and read it again. This movie is just WOW, it is graphic about what happened it's based on fact. I can not imagine how she survived this attack but the movie allows you to hear Alison talk about what happened in her own words and and connect with all the people that assisted her.Its a must watch!
