Angel is a disturbed teen who becomes obsessed with her nice stepfather Steven. After her mother dies under unusual circumstances, Angel is sent to an institution. Years later, she is let out and tracks down her dear step-dad who now lives with his new girlfriend Michelle. He is technically her only kin so he takes her in, but his girlfriend doesn't like Angel one bit. Angel's obsession with her "dad" is as strong as ever and she fantasizes about seducing him. After spying on him and his girlfriend having passionate sex, she begins playing a deadly game and even tries to seduce his hostile girlfriend. However, Steven has a more immediate and obvious problem - a drug dealer called Johnny Ventura.

Angel Eyes Audience Reviews

Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Derrick Gibbons An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
RavenGlamDVDCollector {to clarify: this is a 'barking up the wrong tree" account by a guy who bought the wrong movie, and is now quite p****d off, it is left unedited as it first appeared months ago when title was encountered on the seller's site}This is my current obsession. Placed my order for it on Friday from my beleaguered bank account through local greedy shark WantItAll and all through weekend nervously tremulously monitoring dwindling stock on Amazon. Who appears to be a schemer as well. Believe me, some odd goings-on if you monitor them closely. Prices rise during your American night- time, then drop down again. OK, OK, I digress, this is a review of ANGEL EYES... I saw a movie back in 1993 or was it 1994 with a gorgeous redhead, one of those steamy thrillers low on plot with weak script and not much acting, but I was after the pretty girl, and had the rented VHS copied by a friend. Years and years, alas! it's decades! later I collect glamorous titles on DVD, some of which I cannot find, the original reason for my being here on IMDb - a last-ditch effort to garner support for unreleased titles (but anyway, people don't care, no pride in their viewing tastes, no loyalty to old favorites, generally all humans are pigs :) - anyway, I remember this title years and years later, but had forgotten the title and the name of the actress.Nine days ago, late on Friday night, I don't even remember how I stumbled onto it, but I am obsessed by SILK 2, so maybe I scouted for Monique Gabrielle on VuClip, but most likely it was just a search for something similar, but as an alternative title, the trailer of ANGEL EYES popped up and I downloaded it. Bleary-eyed already, I was jolted wide awake at the sight of the vague phantom in my mind sort of coming to life. Sort of. I don't remember Erik Estrada being in that movie. But as my followers will know, I have been fruitlessly after SILK 2 on DVD, and while that is quite something else, this will have to suffice... If all goes well with my order. Monday morning, less than an hour till opening time for WantItAll, the greedy shark who is eating me alive as I don't have a credit card to deal with Amazon, and in any case would find it too risky to import from a corrupt country notoriously known for postal theft, so in less than an hour my payment might get authorized and they'd order it for me. Then, perhaps, some day I can post a decent review of this title. Meanwhile, you guys can have Big Fun pointing out that this review was entirely unhelpful to you, bringing down my credibility, as you nevertheless settle in for an evening's entertainment watching ANGEL EYES on cable. I ****ing had to pay about the equivalent of 200 liters of Coca- Cola so pardon me if I am all jittery with excitement after a 'funny' mostly sleepless weekend constantly monitoring Amazon and at one time seeing my Angel about to fly away.Monique Gabrielle would be worth watching this movie. Download the trailer if you're uncertain about it. Don't expect an Oscar-winning film, remember, if Erik is there, no way for that! But Monique is in redhead mode, and she has lovely bare b-----s, I hesitate to say the word, because then this will just get rejected again, in no mood to fight, was just passing the time till I get to Opening Time at WantItAll, just a few minutes to go, this is A MONIQUE GABRIELLE FAN signing off... (Didn't your Mother warn you that IMDb is filled with crazies?)Update, 2016/11/23, seems to have been another glorious snafu by yours truly. I just watched the first 40 minutes. I recognize nothing. A trailer on this disc, BLIND JUSTICE or something like that, reminded me that the movie I'm really looking for has that adjective-abstract noun title that was in vogue after BASIC INSTINCT. Suppose I could post this new angle to the quest on "I Need To Know" but right now I am way bummed by this {expletive deleted} {another expletive deleted} {yet another expletive deleted} piece of garbage masquerading as a movie. Yes, Monique is pretty, but she deserves better than this low-class trash. A performance that really rankles is that wig-like-an-old-housewife Rachel Vickers. Stone- cold wooden acting at its zenith. She is the queen of ambivalence portraying that thoroughly unlikable character. She is the epitome of how- not-to-do-it with her over-accentuated widening eyes, her all-too- obvious attempts at getting her teeth into the part, but failing miserably, and has the most imposing boob job I have ever seen. Talking about boobs, Erik Estrada's in here collecting yet another Oscar, I kid thee loads. Overall, the whole thing looks bloodless, despite its gory theme which all-too-clearly borrows its climactic scene from the early murder scene of BASIC INSTINCT. Bleak anemic photography using bargain basement film leftovers. I encounter something like this, it spoils my mood, I don't really wanna watch. Got nothing to do with me having bought the wrong movie. Monique Gabrielle is worth watching wherever she is encountered, but a gem like her needs to be properly presented in a decent setting to be shown off to full effect, and here the inane script, the lane directing, the poor choice in film quality, and the laughable co-stars sink the whole effort before the word go. What utter tripe. What utter dismal junk. Pour some of that fake blood over Fred Olen Ray. Tar and feather the lame-ass {expletive deleted} and run him and his slutty tattooed silicone- implanted hussies out of town! And then you could bring Monique to me. :) ooh yes
Robbie-43 Any film that features the luscious Monique Gabrielle is a must-see in our book. Ms.Gabrielle is a favorite of the academy having been awarded its highest honor (All-Century team-Eye Candy Hall of Fame). In all her performances, Ms.Gabrielle usually gives it her all and never lets us down. In this film she surpasses our highest expectations and we thank her for it. She is an interesting cast choice by the director Graver (a genetic clone of the auteur Olen Ray). The character Angel is either a troubled teen-age girl or a troubled adult acting like a teen-age girl. With this complex character, Ms.Gabrielle strips away layers of her facade allowing the audience to gain more and more revealing glimpses of Angel until she explodes into a wild ride of energy. Raven (Rachel Vickers) also gives a fine performance and allows the viewer to compare/contrast her talents with Ms. Gabrielle. Overall, Ms.Gabrielle as Angel is pure heaven.
anonomus This chic flick has such poor acting it was hard to sit through. A plump teen goes on a killing streak. Unless you want to see Vicky Vickers having very explicit sex (fake moans included), the movie is a total waste of time and money.
Stefan Kahrs Many modern B-movies, especially the Erotic Thriller kind, take themselves much too seriously and consequently suffer - because the viewer never does. Some B-movies therefore go to the other extreme and spoof themselves, like the Vice Academy series. This does not work very well either, because this genre is very difficult to spoof, unless you are satisfied with the slapstick version.Much better is the approach taken in this film: it does not take itself seriously one minute, although all the sex and violence are played straight (albeit bordering on the farcical side). It is sleazy, it knows it is sleazy, it has fun being sleazy. In a way it relates to the majority of modern B-movies as Destry Rides Again (1939) relates to the majority of Westerns. In other words, it is tongue-in-cheek, but it plays strictly by the genre rules, and the result is much better than the average genre entry.
