Batman: Dead End Audience Reviews

Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
Suman Roberson It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
SHB_73 Batman:Dead End is one of the best superhero short films ever produced. It portrays the best of the character in comics today, its grim and gritty look is amazing and the acting is first rate. Clark Bartram looks the part as the Dark Knight while Andrew Koenig makes for a memorable Joker. Also the fight scenes with the Aliens and Predators are exciting to watch. the film looks like it came out of a comic book portraying Batman as he truly is: a dark vigilante and not the goofy and campy version like the 1960's television show.Sandy Collora does an good job in directing as well. If you are a Batman fan I highly recommend this movie.
frank-684 I just can't fathom how anyone can proclaim an 8 minute fan film as the best Batman film ever. It's just nonsensical to compare 8 minutes of mayhem, zero characterisation, bad acting and bad dialogue to such excellent films as Batman (89), Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. True, the latter two weren't yet produced at the time Dead End was made, but even so. There are portions of Batman Forever which blow Dead End away in terms of quality.Don't get me wrong, for a fan film, this isn't that bad. It has some good atmosphere, some good camera work and stunts, some decent costumes. But, Clark Bartram may look good in the suit (and a crappy suit it is too), but he'd make a woeful Bruce Wayne (as he does in Sandy Collora's woeful World's Finest follow-up to this). Collora is an artist, a special fx technician. He's not a writer or a director. And I think that shows in this. The dialogue is atrocious. I wish talented people in their chosen fields would stay in those fields. Everyone and their dog seems to think they can write and direct these days. Most suffer from delusions of grandeur. Collora is one of those.Overall, a decent fan film, but as a film itself, pretty bad from woe to go. Not recommended.
gaylard-1 This is by far the most intellectual Batman film I have ever seen. Many fans of Batman may be distressed and confused by the sophisticated storyline and the deep character development but for those of us who are mature enough, this film represents the struggle between good and evil, human and alien in a darkly beautiful way. From the witty dialog to the superbly underrated acting, Batman: Dead End delivers a classic story of predator vs. prey with rhetoric. Truly, this film can only be described as Hollywood's quintessential masterpiece. One could even go so far as to say that it's mankind's greatest achievement and our greatest contribution to human civilization. If I could sacrifice both of my testicles to ensure a sequel to Batman: Dead End would one day be created, I would agree with no hesitation. You should too.
chrichtonsworld This short movie surprised me! It manages to do in 6 minutes what 4 Batman Hollywood made movies couldn't! Batman in this short stays true to the comics! The focus is more on his skill and ability than the gadgets he normally uses! Pay special attention to the scene where Batman rises from the ground! Dark and chilling! Just like in the comics! While I am not a true fan I have always liked the character of Batman! And I think that this short movie is wet dream come true for the real Batman fans! Why don't we get to see these things in a Hollywood movie! Prepare your self! The alien, the predator, the joker! They are all in this short movie! (Check it out on You tube!)
