Blood and Bone Audience Reviews

Wordiezett So much average
Lawbolisted Powerful
BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
walt dies You know lads this film was an absolute banger. Few years back a mate big Tyler recommended it to me, 3 years down the line and I've finally watched it. what a film; fighting is smashing, smashing is fighting. All in all what a film. I especially love the character of Hammer-man as he reminds me of the rapper David Banner. Sorry lads but that's all i have to say, apparently these fools want your favorite geezer here to write 10 lines, I don't work like that mate. so sadly now I have to finish these 10 lines on a downer because all that's great about Blood and Bone can be summed up in the lines above. peace out my friends, I'll see you in the next review. This 10th line is the end, goodbye my friends.
Adam Peters (56%) A throwback of sorts to 1970's B-pictures focusing on street brawling, ex- cons, and borderline insane gangsters. Michael Jai White doesn't stretch his acting ability here, but his fighting skills are fantastic, it really is totally believable watching him take down the biggest guys you could ever imagine. The plot has been done many times before (see Van Damme's somewhat better AWOL) but I happened to enjoy the simplicity this has in bounds. This may not be anything special overall but it's so damn entertaining and watchable plus the fights are well done and there's plenty of them. So for a decent effort that passes more in that it fails and will run down 90 mins very quickly meaning this is well worth a spin.
Magnulus Michael Jai White is a delight to watch on screen. Like Schwartzenegger, he gets marks even for just showing up. Unlike Arnie, he's got more than that to give. The fights are fantastic, mixing impressive choreography with a harsh weight to every kick and every punch. However, there's no challenge, no trial. He just messes up every single person who goes up against him. When his enemy pulls out a sword, you think "Awww yeah, here we go! Let's put him through his paces!" But guess what, he gets a sword too and is a total bad-ass with it. So what's the point, if he is never in any real peril? Feels too much like a vanity piece on MJW's part, too much bad-assery and no real conflict.Still, though; Fun to watch and if you want a martial arts film with a bit of a difference, you've got it, even if I prefer my heroes to feel like they could possibly be beaten.
David Salgado There's really nothing to complain about, good fight scenes, good characters, nice plot, cool climax, and a nice ending. I found this movie to be entertaining and awesome. It's overall a good movie and sort of a gem amongst other fighting movies that are coming out nowadays. For the most part I loved this movie and I recommend it to anyone who likes fighting movies with good action scenes. There's a couple of things in this movie that I didn't like though. The fighter price was a weak villain, the only time when him and bone meet is right before they fight. I wish they could've had some bad blood between each other so the fight scene could have been more effective. Instead it feels like they just threw in this fight just to have a fight. Also the scene that plays during the end credits really disturbed me. If you've seen this film you'll know what I'm talking about. It's still a good movie and deserves an 7/10
