CT Fletcher: My Magnificent Obsession Audience Reviews

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Happycamper Over the top with melodrama. So sorry for your loss CT, but we all lose our moms. I get the sense CT is exaggerating his 'personal' story especially in regards to mom and dad. He states "50 years she was a slave to my dad", but right there on the gravestone it shows that she died at age 62. The math is suspicious, as is, I suspect, some of his one sided portrayal of his father. If most of what CT says about his abusive, preacher dad is true, then I imagine the fruit didn't fall to far from the tree. Most of the story centers on CT giving intimate, in your face sermons on the benefit of self inflicted pain through intensive weightlifting. 'No excuses' is the mantra in the gym with CT in the background putting on his best Army drill instructor persona.I hope for the sake of his weightlifting clients (or congregation as it may as well be), that he refrains from the verbal abuse as most of us are clearly not as physically gifted as CT.
dev646 CT CT CT ... this name will ring on and on. I'm from India and when a friend told this doc. is coming out on CT I told, yah that guy who screams at everyone and who swears every sec. Never gonna watch it. But, boy, how wrong I was. This is one heck of a documentary, well taken and show's what kind of man he really is, the experiences he went through, the emotion he has for gym and people, how much he loves his family and kids and grand kids, and most importantly his mom, who made CT who he is today. This is a must watch documentary for anyone who goes in to any sport. The passion this man is having is magnificent. It just makes you get up from your seat and move. I cannot say much with words, but I'm a big time rocky movie and rock johnson fan, but CT is definitely in my list. Thank you CT and the tick tock sound of your heart, may it beat on forever.
johnny-96932 To understand why this movie is good you need to understand who CT Fletcher really is. I am an average fit guy who trains martial arts and lifts weights. I came across CT's videos on Youtube which searching for training tips. In my gym here in Norway, and this is the norm in almost all our gyms, people are lazy. They get they're asses to the gym but they hardly sweat or push themself.Me and my friends are one of the very few that do push ourself to the limit, or thats what i thought before seeing CT's videos. His mindset and his way of speaking not only motivated me extremely much, but he changed how i viewed training. After 1 month me and my friends have improved incredible, my influences from CT has spread to my friends which are training harder than i have ever seen.He has touched and changed the life of people all the way in Norway, thats the person this movie is all about. His life and his experiences. There are tons of good motivational movies on Youtube but CT Fletcher is one of a kind. When he speaks, the world listens i feel. The movie centers around his life and his goal in opening the Iron Addicts Gym, as well as his troubled upbringing and his obsession with training. You don't have to be interested in power lifting nor bodybuilding to enjoy this movie. This is a movie you HAVE to see, it will light a fire inside your heart to give life everything you got. CT Fletcher is an amazing guy that has a lot to teach, id do everything to just hear 1 minute of what he has to say and teach.
