Punk19 Before I even start I'm gonna plain say I liked the original, I thought it was a decent entry to Full Moon's full book of movies. The sequel, Decadent Evil 2, was just a plain disappointment. Where the original had a plot that you knew well, the sequel takes a chop and delivers...nothing. As much as I could tell the plot for Decadent Evil 2 was centered around the 2 lovers from the original, good vampire Sugar (Jill Michelle) and her human boyfriend Dex (Daniel Lennox), who have traveled to Little Rock Arkansas in search for the next in line vampire clan leader, they want some of his blood to resurrect the little creature's from the original movie, Marvin the horny Homunculus, son who was killed in the first movie by Morella.I'm going to stall here and say, much of what happened in the original is either forgotten or just plain disregarded. We don't find out if Morella died, is alive or anything. So did Marvin hump her to death for killing his son or did she just get loose from his grasp and vamboozled to another state? It's never explained! The whole plots dragged out, you're pretty much just sitting there thinking to yourself while watching it, "is it gonna get good now" or "is it over yet?". I'm still thinking to myself, trying to figure out what was going on in the film and pretty much just thinking how could Charles Band call this a sequel to the original when it can hardly be followed.Back to the review. Sugar and Dex are in Little Rock Arkansas to find the next in line vampire clan leader, they want some of his blood to resurrect Marvin's son from the dead, they have been carrying the man in a roller suitcase, it's not explained how long or anything, they just show up in a hotel at the beginning. They are using Marvin's son's, Ivan's (now played by Ricardo Gil instead of Phil Fondacaro - maybe Phil saw how crappy the movie was and said he'd much rather keep his career where it was/is instead of tainting it with this movie), cross which brings them to this strip club. There's some nudity but not as much as there was in the original, Sugar lands a job first then Dex grabs a job as a janitor - far cry from the DJ he was in the original lol. They go investigating and think they get the guy who they think is the vampire king who is after 10,000 artial blood to become invincible and unstoppable - didn't they do that in the original? The Whole make-up and design for the vampire king is completely ridiculous! He's this...weird looking creature who also works as a janitor at the strip club - he uses the human half of his disguise as...well a disguise, to fool people then when dinner time comes he transforms into this wild looking...creature.I'm not gonna name any further actors/actresses in this movie. I really I think this movie could have been better than what it was. Very disappointed, the acting was crap as was the movie, stay away unless you just want to find a movie to pass the time away - I highly suggest you pick something else besides this, it is not good! The ending, like the originals ending, had Marvin having sex with one of the vampire henchs that wasn't killed, his son, Dex and Sugar decided to punish her by giving her over to him.
Paul Andrews Decadent Evil II starts where Decadent Evil (2005) left off with the Vampire stripper Sugar (Jill Michelle) & her human boyfriend Dex (Daniel Lennox) on the run, the pitch up in a motel room in the small town of Little Rock with the dead body of dwarf Vampire hunter Ivan (Ricardo Gil) & his freak father Marvin. The little red mutant Marvin is upset & so to try & cheer him up Sugar & Dex intend to resurrect his son Ivan but need the blood of a Vampire clan leader. With Morella gone the next in line seems to be the owner of a strip club called Vision's, in order to get close to the Vampire leader both Sugar & Dex take jobs at the club & soon discover that the clan leader has the same plan as Morella did, to claim 10,000 victims in order to become immortal & invincible & it's up to Sugar, Dex & the undead Ivan to stop him...Directed by Charles Band this is a sequel to his earlier film Decadent Evil (2005) & is more of a remake as it tells exactly the same story as it has the three main character's from the first, it's set in & around a strip club again which Vampires use to lure victims, there's a powerful Vampire who needs 10,000 victims to become immortal, there's a dwarf vampire hunter & even the little red guy Marvin makes a reappearance as the two films are more or less the same but amazingly Decadent Evil II somehow manages to be a whole lot worse. While the first Decadent Evil had a couple of positives Decadent Evil II doesn't have any, the first only lasted about an hour while this lasts for about 80 minutes & boy does it drag, the original had a bit of gore whereas this has none apart from a bit of fake blood, the original had the hotness of Raelyn Hennessee as Spyce is gone & the girls look a lot plainer, despite being set in a strip club there's actually very little nudity, there's a few bare breast's but nothing else & no full on sex scenes like the original either & while the original had a sexy villain here the make-up job on the Vampire king is awful & he resembles some sort of bat thing. Even the plotting is worse as the script actually tries to throw in a few twists but they are really, really bad & throughly predictable. Also the continuity isn't great, while certain things are carried over from the original like Marvin certain things are mysteriously forgotten about like Morella being turned into a female version of whatever Marvin is. This is just bad.Over here in the UK the title was slightly altered to The Decadent Evil Dead 2 which is an obvious attempt to cash-in on Sam Raimi's classic The Evil Dead (1982). Forget about any gore as there isn't any, the joke shop king Vampire mask looks awful & the CGI glowing eyes is as good as it sounds. The film looks & feels a lot like the original with boring neon lighting & the majority of it being set in a strip club although as I have already said there's not that much nudity. The budget for this was probably even lower than the original & it just looks cheap from start to finish. Michelle & Lennox return from the original although Ivan is now played by Ricardo Gil. The acting in general is poor & nothing else needs to be said.Decadent Evil II is awful & that's all that needs to be said really, lets hope a third installment never gets made. Definitely one to avoid.
ichocolat I should have learned my lesson. I've watched the first film, and I should have known that the sequel ain't gonna be any different. The movie was terrible, utter crap.In this sequel, the vampire lady (what was her name again? Sorry, it kinda slipped my mind, sorry) and her boyfriend were in pursuit of something, supposedly for something important. What was it, sorry, can't remember. So they brought along the weird looking red-bodied 'alien' together with them.Their pursuit brought them to a club, where dangerous vampires drink beer and meet up there. So they got a job there to snoop on the activities of the people there. Oh, how convenient.Long story short, they finally know who were the villains, and in a twist of plot, the master vampire wasn't the one they were expecting. It was the janitor, no less. Crappy? Yup, thought so.I don't dare to rate this film, because the last time I rated a film bad, I got 8 people who agrees with me, from the 108 people who rated. But what I can say is that, this film is an utter crap. Hollywood and Bollywood churn out thousands of film every year, watch those films instead.
cartza After surviving their encounter with the Queen vampire Morella in Decadent Evil, sweet vampire Sugar (Jill Michelle) and her human boyfriend Dex (Daniel Lennox) travel with Marvin the homunculus to Little Rock, Arkansas. Their plan: to revive Marvin's dead son, the famous vampire hunter Ivan Burroughs (Ricardo Gil) with the life - giving blood of the King Vampire. On a quest to locate the King Vampire, Sugar and Dex are drawn into a coven of the wicked creatures that are using a local strip club as cover. When Sugar is kidnapped for sacrifice to the King Vampire, Dex manages to revive Ivan as one of the living dead to assist in the rescue efforts.
