Distractions Audience Reviews

GurlyIamBeach Instant Favorite.
Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Viski91 Brilliant, hilarious, horrific, weird, disturbing, fresh, unapologetic...Just a few words to describe the greatest achievement in Finnish film industry in ages. Häiriötekijä is not an ordinary film with one storyline; it's a bizarre comedy that consists of handful of short stories or sketches that have very little, if any, to do with the other (or they did and the reviewer wasn't intelligent enough to see it).The fact that there is no solid story or plot, probably divides the audience. The other is the humor that varies from mild grey to quite dark. If you get offended easily, this might not be your kind of a movie. These are the two things you need to set your mind to and you won't miss half of the film asking yourself "What is this?". To those who are familiar with the Finnish TV series Ihmebantu, this film won't come as surprise. To those who loved the series, this is a must see. The film is just like one episode of the series, just longer. Some critics may be asking why this had to be made as a movie instead of a TV series. To them I would say: why not? Do all movies have to have a solid storyline? To me Häiriötekijä was fresh, kind of a experimental approach to making movies. Especially coming from the Finnish film industry. To me it was a bull's eye.Not only is the film something totally different from the other Finnish films, it's very well made. The cinematography for instance is just pure enjoyment to watch. Some might find the film too weird, but I couldn't stop grinning during the film. Maybe I'm just in the right frequency for the likes of Häiriötekijä.Go ahead, break some boundaries and give this movie a try. In the worst case scenario, it will only take 1 hour and a half of your time.
Huemac1100 The movie was great until a man's penis was eaten while the man was still conscious. I fail to find humor in male genitalia mutilation. I think this movie would not have ever even been published if it had been female labia that they ate.It was so tasteless scene that it left a very disturbed feeling afterwards. So disturbed that I do not recommend this movie for anyone. The movie clearly had some subliminal critique about the trending direction in mainstream comedies: people laugh at adults acting like children and getting too drunk. American comedies are full of shots of males getting kicked in the groin and with the penis scene, I think they tried to proof that damage to male genitalia is something we should not laugh at, but why did they have to go for such great lengths just to prove a point? My head is just full of why why why. Why did the have to ruin so promising start for such a unique comedy.
